On June 30, Li Shengli, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Jinan Municipal People’s Congress, and his delegation conducted a field inspection of the progress of the geological hazard mitigation project for the Zhongjing Xishan landslide in Lixia District, Jinan, undertaken by our institute.

The research team conducted a detailed inquiry into the project department’s construction safety and related matters, gaining an in-depth understanding of the project’s geological hazard risk points, geological hazard monitoring and early warning systems, the installation of warning signs, and the implementation of disaster prevention measures.

Li Shengli emphasized that, with recent increases in rainfall, flood‑control efforts have entered a critical phase—also a period of heightened risk for sudden geological disasters. It is imperative to strengthen both a sense of responsibility and a sense of urgency, thoroughly prepare for flood and disaster prevention, implement all preventive measures meticulously, ensure rapid response when emergencies arise, and safeguard the safe execution of project construction.

This field survey aims to ensure the thorough implementation of geological hazard prevention measures during the flood season, with the goal of minimizing disaster-related losses. Relevant officials from the Municipal Bureau of Natural Resources and Planning, the Municipal Bureau of Urban and Rural Water Affairs, and the Municipal Emergency Management Bureau accompanied the inspection.
