On August 5, Qu Yougang, Party Secretary of the administrative support units at Shandong University of Science and Technology, along with a delegation of four other officials, paid a visit to our institute for a symposium and exchange. The symposium was attended by Dean and Deputy Party Secretary Diao Haizhong, Deputy Party Secretary and Commission for Discipline Inspection Secretary Yang Cheng, and Vice Dean and Trade Union Head Sun Xinyong.


　　At the symposium, Diao Haizhong extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Shandong University of Science and Technology and provided a detailed overview of our institute, covering its historical development, industrial sectors, and Party-building efforts. Chang Xiangchun, Dean of the School of Earth Sciences and Engineering at Shandong University of Science and Technology, outlined the school’s achievements in discipline development, talent‑training systems, and research platforms.

　　Through in-depth discussions, both parties expressed their shared aspiration to take this symposium as an opportunity to strengthen communication and cooperation in areas such as talent development, industry–university–research collaboration, the establishment of internship bases, and the enhancement of employee competencies, thereby leveraging each other’s strengths and achieving mutual benefit.

　　A total of 15 individuals, including Li Yinzhen, Deputy Chief Engineer of our institute; Qiu Guanghui, Assistant to the President and Director of the Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration Institute; Wang Jiguo, Assistant to the President and Director of the General Office; and Liu Jianwen, Director of the Geological Science and Technology Department (Safety and Environmental Protection Department), attended the meeting.
