　　In accordance with the work plan outlined in the Party Committee’s implementation scheme for the thematic education campaign “Remain True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind,” on November 20, Yang Cheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, delivered a well‑focused and content‑rich special Party lecture to all Party members of the Institute of Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration and the Institute of Hydrogeology and Environmental Geology.

　　First, Comrade Yang Cheng expounded on the profound significance, overarching requirements, fundamental tasks, and key measures of the thematic education campaign on “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind.” Drawing on the practical realities of our institute’s ongoing transformation in priority areas, he urged all staff to closely align their work with actual conditions, pursue innovative approaches to learning and practice, and thereby meet the demands of the new landscape. He then led the group in studying the Communiqué of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, with a particular focus on the notable strengths of China’s national system and governance framework—namely, the “Thirteen Persistences.” Following this, he provided a detailed briefing on the outcomes of the recent centralized research initiative organized by the Institute’s Party Committee, sharing the salient issues identified and outlining the proposed corrective measures for the next phase.

　　Finally, Comrade Yang Cheng called on all Party members and cadres to “remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind,” deepen their understanding of this original aspiration and mission, take the spirit of the plenary session as their guide, and leverage thematic education to advance the high-quality development of our institute.
