Comrade Wang Qingfeng delivered a special Party lecture on the thematic education campaign “Stay True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind” at the机关 Party Branch.

　　In accordance with the work plan outlined in the Party Committee’s implementation scheme for the thematic education campaign on “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind,” on November 25, Wang Qingfeng, Deputy Secretary of the Institute’s Party Committee (who also oversees the Committee’s day-to-day operations) and Vice President, delivered a special Party lecture titled “‘Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind’: Always Maintaining a Vigorous and Enterprising Spirit of Struggle” to all members of the Organs Party Branch.

　　Drawing on his own study and discussions, investigative research, and self‑examination, he engaged the attending Party members in a dialogue across three dimensions: “insights from study,” “reflections on our original aspiration and mission,” and “identified shortcomings and directions for improvement.” He argued that to remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind, we must first strengthen our ideals and convictions, demonstrate unwavering loyalty to the Party, to our organization, and to our cause, and become Party members who are politically steadfast and ideologically sound. Specifically: First, we must fortify our ideals and convictions, firmly uphold the “Four Consciousnesses,” steadfastly maintain the “Four Confidences,” and earnestly practice the “Two Safeguards.” With regard to the Party’s latest theoretical achievements, we must truly learn, truly understand, truly believe, and truly apply them. Second, we must rekindle our sense of Party membership, daring at all times to openly identify ourselves, set high standards, and make clear commitments—thereby distinguishing ourselves, demonstrating our advanced nature, and fulfilling our role as pioneers and models. Third, we must strengthen our awareness of discipline. We should intensify efforts to build and enforce all disciplines—including political discipline, organizational discipline, integrity discipline, work discipline, mass discipline, and lifestyle discipline—and place strict adherence to discipline and rules in an even more prominent position. Turning to reflections on our original aspiration and mission, he linked these themes to the requirements of the thematic education campaign, referencing Sino‑U.S. trade tensions and the responsibilities and commitments of central state‑owned enterprises. Through moving and inspiring stories—such as the “Ice Sculpture Company” and the development of aircraft engines—he underscored that staying true to our original aspiration and keeping our mission firmly in mind can only be achieved through the concerted efforts of the entire Party, with every Party member called upon to contribute to the realization of our shared aspirations and mission.

　　When discussing existing problems and shortcomings, he drew on his field research and practical experience to point out that our strategic vision remains insufficiently broad; our understanding of the CPC Central Committee’s stringent Party‑building requirements since the 18th National Congress is inadequate; our enthusiasm for getting things done and starting businesses falls short; and we have not yet fully demonstrated the spirit and professional demeanor expected of the staff and faculty of this leading institution. Furthermore, our efforts to deepen learning are lacking, and we must strengthen our ability to apply theoretical insights and professional knowledge in practice to better address real‑world challenges. He emphasized that we must unite in purpose, elevate our perspective, and foster a healthy institutional environment; invigorate our spirit and enhance our capacity to fulfill our duties; standardize procedures and improve work efficiency; and, above all, earnestly address the deficiencies and issues at hand.

　　Finally, Wang Qingfeng offered three words of encouragement to all: Whether one stays true to their original aspiration or not hinges on the heart; whether one stays true to their original aspiration or not hinges on confidence; and whether one stays true to their original aspiration or not hinges on perseverance. He expressed his hope that all Party members of the Organs Party Branch would set an exemplary example in every respect, carry out all tasks with unwavering confidence, and, with a steadfast and diligent spirit, propel the Shandong Institute’s work to new heights.
