On December 13, 2020, the seventh National Memorial Day for the Victims of the Nanjing Massacre was observed. At 8:00 a.m., the Party branch of the Geotechnical Engineering Company organized a themed Party‑day activity to mark this occasion. Through online videos and live broadcasts, party members and prospective members were encouraged to watch the national memorial ceremony for the victims of the Nanjing Massacre and to share the commemorative events on their social media feeds and websites, calling on the public to join in mourning the fallen compatriots. Subsequently, participants actively took part in the initiative, posting messages of remembrance on social media, laying flowers in tribute, lighting a candle, and observing a moment of silence in memory of those who perished during the Nanjing Massacre.
Eighty-three years later, we live in an era of peace. We dare not—and must not—forget this chapter of humiliation in the history of the Chinese nation. Let us always remember that peace has been hard-won, and may the departed rest in peace.
The lessons of the past shine brightly, and future generations must remain ever vigilant. Let us remember history and strive to rejuvenate the Chinese nation. Today, in the name of our country, we pay tribute to our fallen compatriots. May we rise with resolve, build a prosperous and powerful nation, and ensure that the flower of peace forever blooms.
