The Second Party Branch convened a general meeting of party members.
On the afternoon of December 16, the Second Party Branch convened a general meeting of party members, during which it reviewed the formal admission of probationary members, conducted a democratic evaluation of model Party member posts, heard a lecture delivered by the branch secretary, and carried out a themed Party Day activity. The meeting was chaired by Comrade Wang Juan, the branch secretary, and was attended by a total of 12 participants, including branch members, probationary members, and active candidates for Party membership.
In accordance with the meeting agenda, the branch general meeting first voted to approve Comrade Zhao Zhanzhan’s application for formal party membership. Subsequently, in line with the “Six Good” criteria—strong political and ideological awareness, strict organizational discipline, high professional competence, dedication and professionalism, enthusiastic service, and integrity and self-discipline—the branch conducted a democratic evaluation of Comrade Zhai Dongliang, a model Party member at the demonstration post. The evaluation concluded that Comrade Zhai Dongliang is an outstanding model Party member at the demonstration post within our institute.
Following the evaluation, Comrade Wang Juan, Secretary of the Party branch, delivered a vivid Party lecture to all party members, titled “Upholding Pioneering Responsibility and Leading the Way Through Challenges—Studying and Implementing the Spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee.” Using an illustrated PowerPoint presentation, she emphasized that, as Communist Party members in grassroots operational departments, they must remain true to their original aspirations, keep their mission firmly in mind, and always be clear about the responsibilities entrusted to them. In their work, they should fully exemplify the vanguard role of Party members, consistently demonstrate the courage to forge ahead, tackle tough problems with determination, and strive vigorously. With the mindset that “success need not be attributed to me, but success must include my contribution,” they should roll up their sleeves, devote themselves wholeheartedly, and deliver tangible results worthy of their commitment. After the lecture, party members engaged in active discussions, exchanged ideas, and shared their views.
During the thematic Party Day activities, participants jointly studied the document “Now Is the Time to Set Sail and Ride the Waves: A Record of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its Core Advancing Comprehensive Deepening of Reform During the 13th Five-Year Plan Period,” and watched the short video “The 14th Five-Year Plan: A New Beginning—A Transformation in Quality.” They deeply appreciated the tremendous achievements made over the past five years under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, as it guided the Chinese people in deepening reform, and were profoundly moved and inspired by the major breakthroughs attained during the 13th Five-Year Plan period.
Through this Party members’ conference, the branch secretary’s Party lecture, and the themed Party‑day activities, the enthusiasm and motivation of all participants to work diligently were greatly inspired. Attendees pledged that, as dream‑chasers of the new era, they will fully exemplify the vanguard role of Party members, boldly lead the way, forge ahead with determination, seize every moment, and live up to their youthful years.
