On February 3, the Group (General Administration) convened the 2021 Conference on Safety, Environmental Protection, and Confidentiality. Shang Honglin, Party Secretary, Director, and Chairman of the Board, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. Deputy General Manager and Deputy Director Tian Li conveyed the spirit of the China National Coal Administration’s 2021 Conference on Safety and Environmental Protection, and read out the “Decision on Learning from ‘Standardized Construction Sites’” and the “Notice on Commending ‘Red Flag Work Teams for Safe Production.’” General Manager, Deputy Party Secretary, and Deputy Director Liu Xingwang presented a report titled “Firmly Uphold the Safety Philosophy, Enhance Confidentiality Awareness, Strengthen Responsibility and Commitment, and Provide a Safe and Stable Environment for the Group’s High-Quality Development.”
The meeting noted that in 2020, the Group and its affiliated units continuously strengthened the foundations of safety and environmental protection, epidemic prevention and control, equipment management, and confidentiality work; further enhanced oversight and regulatory efforts; and actively explored a new “Party building + safety” management model. As a result, significant progress was made in safety, environmental protection, and confidentiality, and all management targets set by the China National Coal Administration were fully achieved.
The meeting emphasized that the entire Group must take General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on work related to workplace safety and environmental protection as its guiding principle, fully implement the spirit of the National Teleconference on Workplace Safety and the National Conference on Ecological and Environmental Protection, and, grounded in the new stage of development, uphold the new development philosophy, and foster a new development pattern. It is essential to accurately grasp the new circumstances, challenges, and requirements; adhere to the principle of putting the people first and life above all else; coordinate development with safety; address weaknesses and strengthen areas of vulnerability; and, through more solid and effective efforts, strive to open up a new chapter of high-quality development for the Group, thereby providing an even stronger safety guarantee for the Group’s new journey during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.
The meeting mandated that all units promptly convey the spirit of the safety and environmental protection conference, earnestly implement the Group’s 2021 key priorities for safety and environmental protection, vigorously advance the three-year special campaign on workplace safety, and rigorously enforce routine epidemic prevention and control measures, ensuring that both epidemic response and workplace safety are effectively maintained while continuously enhancing management capabilities.
Members of the Group’s Safety Production Committee and Confidentiality Committee, principal leaders of Beijing-based units, and members of the Safety Production Committee Office attended the meeting at headquarters. Additionally, 182 other relevant leaders and safety production management personnel from directly affiliated units participated in the meeting.
