On February 23, Shang Honglin, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board, and Director, met with Zhou Yan and his delegation, head of the Institute of Forestry Industry Planning and Design under the National Forestry and Grassland Administration.
Zhou Yan and his delegation first toured the corporate exhibition hall of Sinochem Mingda Holding Group, followed by a symposium with the group’s (bureau’s) leadership. The two sides engaged in an in-depth exchange on topics including industrial transformation and upgrading, high-quality development, ecological restoration, and the integration of forestry with related industries.
Shang Honglin welcomed the visit of Dean Zhou Yan and his delegation, and provided a detailed overview of the Group (Bureau)’s background, core business areas, and its 14th Five-Year Plan.
Zhou Yan outlined the key developments of the Forestry Products Industry Planning and Design Institute under the National Forestry and Grassland Administration in recent years, highlighting its experience and approaches in supporting major national strategic initiatives—particularly in light of the CPC Central Committee’s comprehensive implementation of the forest chief system—while strengthening ecological civilization and promoting high-quality development of the forestry and grassland sectors. Since the two parties reached an agreement on strategic cooperation, they have undertaken numerous constructive efforts in areas such as integrated restoration of mountains, waters, forests, farmlands, lakes, grasslands, and deserts combined with the integration of forestry and grassland industries, as well as underground infrastructure construction paired with above‑ground landscape development. Zhou Yan expressed his willingness to establish a regular exchange mechanism to foster mutual learning, share resources, and achieve common progress, working together to explore multi‑faceted, win‑win cooperation.
Lin Guoxuan, a member of the Party Committee, Deputy General Manager, and Deputy Director; Huang Yongming, Regional Operations Director; Gu Qiang, Director of the Institute of Land Research and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Yu Yuejin, Chief Investment Advisor; along with relevant staff from the Planning and Development Department, the Market Development Division, the Fund Management Company, and other departments, attended the symposium.
