To support the Group (Bureau)’s high-quality development and its transformation into an enterprise, and to effectively enhance the financial staff’s capacity to contribute to the Group’s (Bureau’s) economic growth, the Group (Bureau) has recently intensified hands-on training for its finance personnel. It organized the first session of the 2021 practical training and exchange workshop for financial staff, along with a seminar on preparing monthly financial flash reports and annual financial closing statements, featuring presentations and discussions. Chen Haiyong, Member of the Party Committee and Chief Accountant of the Group (Bureau), attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
The meeting provided a detailed, line-by-line explanation of the methods for preparing the annual final accounts and financial flash reports, covering inter‑table reconciliation relationships, key considerations in report review, consolidation and elimination procedures, and practical tips for using the Jiuqi software. Participants engaged in discussions and exchanges on topics such as report management, basic financial administration, and project‑level financial management. In addition, relevant finance personnel from the Henan Bureau shared their experiences on report preparation, financial management for engineering survey projects, and financial management for foundation construction projects.
Chen Haiyong outlined the purpose and significance of this training and exchange session, and set forth the following requirements for financial officers and all finance personnel: First, in light of the new landscape of corporate reform and transformation, finance professionals must shift their mindset, embrace a corporate‑oriented approach to financial management, proactively adapt, and continuously strengthen their capacity to support the organization’s economic development. Second, finance staff should deepen their understanding of accounting standards as well as the financial management systems of the China National Bureau of Coal Geology and the Group (Bureau), thereby steadily enhancing their professional competence. Third, finance personnel must uphold principles, stay within established red lines, and continually improve compliance‑driven financial management, driving ongoing improvements in overall financial governance. Fourth, participants are urged to recognize the critical importance of financial statement preparation and management, thoroughly digest and internalize the content of this training, and consistently elevate the quality of financial reporting to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability. Fifth, financial officers bear the responsibility of nurturing and developing their teams; they should provide robust professional guidance to younger colleagues, assign them challenging tasks, and foster their rapid growth. Chen Haiyong emphasized that, in response to the current state of financial management across the Group (Bureau), the organization will intensify hands‑on practical training, implement benchmarking initiatives, and focus on elevating the overall level of financial operations throughout the Group (Bureau).
More than 40 finance directors and financial reporting personnel from the Group (Bureau) and its affiliated units attended this training and exchange session.
