On May 13, Dean and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Diao Haizhong, Chief Engineer Peng Mingzhang, and a delegation from our institute held a symposium with China Power Construction Group Overseas Investment Co., Ltd. to exchange views.

Xu Qingyuan, a member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of China Overseas Investment Corporation, extended a warm welcome to the leadership of Shandong Institute, and highlighted the company’s core overseas business areas, as well as its completed and ongoing major overseas projects.

At the meeting, Diao Haizhong introduced the China Chemical Geology And Mining Bureau and our institute’s historical development and basic profile, with a particular focus on our qualifications and capabilities, the development of our industrial sectors, market expansion efforts, as well as our distinctive strengths and overseas business operations. Peng Mingzhang provided a detailed overview of our institute’s overseas business, covering its historical origins, scope of operations, and key overseas projects.

The two sides engaged in an in-depth discussion on the status of overseas projects in power, minerals, and critical infrastructure, expressing hope that they will identify common ground for cooperation.

Wang Shuhong, Deputy General Manager of the Third Investment Department of China Overseas Investment Corporation, Li Yong, Director of the same department, and Yang Xiaosan, Dean of the Institute’s International Mineral Development Branch, attended the symposium and exchange.
