Recently, a research team from the China National Coal Geological Bureau, led by Chen Ming, Secretary-General of both the Party Building and Political Research Association and the Coal Geology Branch, visited our institute to conduct a special field study on the project titled “Research on Building Organizational Capacity of Party Branches in State-Owned Enterprises in the New Era.”
On May 19, the research team convened a symposium at our institute. Attending the meeting were Wang Qingfeng, Party Secretary and Vice President; Yang Cheng, Deputy Party Secretary and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection; secretaries of all Party branches; and staff members from the Party affairs department. At the symposium, Wang Qingfeng welcomed the visiting research team and provided a brief overview of the institute’s Party‑building efforts. Focusing on the theme of “Building the Organizational Capacity of Party Branches,” the five active Party branches at the institute engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions, drawing on their respective characteristics and strengths. They shared their practices and experiences in strengthening organizational capacity, examined the factors that influence such capacity, identified existing problems and their underlying causes, and explored pathways for further enhancing the organizational effectiveness of the branches.
Members of the research teams from the China Coal Aviation Survey and Remote Sensing Bureau, the Hubei Coal Geological Bureau, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration, the Jiangsu Coal Geological Bureau, and our own bureau also, drawing on the specific realities of Party‑building work in their respective organizations, exchanged and shared advanced practices and insights on strengthening the organizational capacity of Party branches, thereby providing valuable references and guidance for further enhancing Party‑branch development at our institute.
The research team expressed its gratitude for the strong support our institute provided for this survey, and commended our institute’s effective practices and valuable experience—namely, the “one branch, one distinctive feature” approach and the integration of Party building into business operations to enhance organizational capacity. The team noted that our institute’s Party‑building workforce is young, energetic, and highly innovative, and that the Party branches have established a solid foundation, robust platforms, and tangible results in strengthening organizational capacity. These insights have offered valuable directions and inspiration for the team’s further research, and the symposium yielded preliminary positive outcomes.
