Recently, the “Sports Lottery Cup” 8th Sunset Red Fitness Games for provincial government agencies in Shandong Province kicked off with great enthusiasm. Our institute sent 10 retired employees to compete in events including the 800-meter race, the 60-meter ball-carrying run, the standing long jump, softball target throwing, ground golf, darts, and ring toss, where they achieved outstanding results.
Retired employees Bai Min, Zhao Zuwei, Li Shuhua, and Xu Dehua each placed in events such as ring toss, darts, and the 800-meter race; Bai Min won first prize in the “Bao Huang” competition.
Before the competition began, everyone donned their uniforms and chanted in unison, “Health and happiness come first; competition comes second.” Team captain Lü Mingpu led the group through a warm-up, offering mutual encouragement as they prepared for the event. On the field, our hospital’s retired staff members participated with boundless enthusiasm, a sunny outlook, and unwavering stamina, showcasing their skills, competing with sportsmanship, and sharing camaraderie. Full of spirit and high spirits, they thoroughly enjoyed the joy that sport brought them. Cheers and applause rose and fell throughout the venue, creating a lively yet harmonious atmosphere.
Through this competition, our institute’s retired employees have fully demonstrated a spirit of optimism, resilience, and dedication to the Chinese Dream of health and happiness.
