On June 2–3, the Coal Geology Branch of the China National Coal Association hosted the inaugural Forum for Directors of Coal (Coalfield and Chemical) Geological Exploration Teams and Institutes in Tai’an, Shandong, under the theme “Looking Ahead to the 14th Five-Year Plan: Jointly Pursuing New Development.”
Fan Baoying, Deputy Director and Member of the Party Committee of the China National Bureau of Coal Geology; Li Zengquan, Chairman of the China Coal Education Association and Director of the Training Center of the China National Coal Industry Association; and Hou Shenjian, President of the Coal Geology Branch, attended the meeting and delivered remarks. Liu Xingwang, Vice President of the Branch and General Manager of Zhonghua Mingda under the Bureau, and Liu Chunde, Chief Economist of the Shandong Provincial Coalfield Geological Bureau, each also addressed the gathering.
At the meeting, the Training Center of the China National Coal Association and the Coal Geology Branch signed a strategic cooperation agreement and presented the General Administration’s Cadre School with a plaque designating it as the “Coal Geology Sub‑Base of the National Continuing Education Base for Professional and Technical Personnel.”
During the forum, Diao Haizhong, President of our institute and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, delivered a keynote address titled “Implementing the New Development Philosophy, Promoting High-Quality Development, and Striving to Usher in a New Chapter of Reform and Development for Shandong Institute.” He briefed the attendees on the institute’s general profile, reviewed and summarized the outstanding achievements attained during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, outlined the development vision and strategic priorities for the 14th Five-Year Plan, and expressed his aspiration to collaborate with all stakeholders in the industry to share development opportunities, jointly formulate long-term development strategies, and embark on a new phase of growth.
This conference was attended by more than 110 key officials and representatives from 57 organizations across 23 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities.
