To further deepen understanding of and ensure effective implementation of relevant policies, thereby safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of all employees, our hospital invited leaders from the Shandong Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security to deliver a special lecture on pension system reform on the afternoon of July 15. The meeting was chaired by Sun Xinyong, a member of the Party Committee, vice president, and chairman of the trade union, and was attended by relevant hospital leaders, heads of various departments, and selected employee representatives.

At the meeting, in preparation for the reform’s liquidation phase, detailed explanations were provided on several key policy issues, including the contribution bases and rates for basic old-age insurance and occupational annuities, as well as the determination of performance-based pay within the contribution base. The session also clarified the relationship between an organization’s contribution base and the social security agency’s disbursement of old-age insurance benefits, interpreted the new developments and emerging trends during the reform period, and helped participants better understand and safeguard their own old-age insurance rights. In addition, attendees engaged in in-depth discussions with social security experts on issues of particular concern to them.

Dean and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Diao Haizhong, stated that our institute will further strengthen coordination and communication with the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, promptly stay abreast of relevant policies, and, under the guidance of experts from the department, determine the pension insurance contribution base in a manner tailored to our institute’s specific circumstances. This will effectively safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of our employees and contribute to the institute’s steady and sound development.
