On August 20, the Party Committee of the Group (Bureau) convened a work deployment meeting to review and follow up on the implementation of the spirit of the National Conference on Party Building in State-Owned Enterprises. Shang Honglin, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board, and Director, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Wang Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, chaired the meeting and outlined specific measures for the Group (Bureau) Party Committee to carry out the “look-back” review. Wang Yong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, conveyed the relevant会议精神 from the Party Committees of the SASAC and the China National Bureau of Coal Geology regarding the “look-back” initiative. Members of the Group’s (Bureau’s) leading Party and administrative teams participated in the meeting via the enterprise WeChat platform.
The meeting noted that General Secretary Xi Jinping, at the National Conference on Party Building in State-Owned Enterprises, unequivocally underscored the nature, status, and significance of state-owned enterprises. From the standpoint of upholding and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics and consolidating the Party’s ruling foundation and position, he profoundly elucidated a series of major theoretical and practical issues concerning the reform, development, and Party building of state-owned enterprises, providing fundamental guidance for advancing Party‑building work in this sector. All levels of Party organizations within the Group (Bureau) must deeply recognize the vital importance of conducting “look‑back” reviews, using the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches as the benchmark, comprehensively assess and summarize the achievements of all tasks over the past five years, integrate both specific points and broader contexts, identify key areas for improvement and innovation, and thereby elevate the overall quality of Party‑building work across the Group (Bureau).
The meeting emphasized that Party organizations at all levels must thoroughly study and deeply understand the important expositions put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the CPC Central Committee’s conference on Party building in state-owned enterprises, including “one overarching goal,” “two consistent principles,” “three benefits,” and “four steadfast commitments.” They should benchmark against and rigorously review the seven areas of focus outlined in the follow-up action plan, address each issue one by one, and continuously close gaps and strengthen weak links, thereby using high‑quality Party building to drive high‑quality development.
The meeting called for Party organizations at all levels to assume primary responsibility, establish leading groups and working bodies, and clearly define their respective duties. Secretaries of Party organizations at all levels are expected to personally take charge and provide frontline guidance, fully fulfilling their role as the principal person in charge, while members of the leadership team shall conscientiously implement the “dual-responsibility” system for their respective posts. All supervisory teams are tasked with rigorously enforcing their oversight and guidance responsibilities, promptly identifying and rectifying any deviations or shortcomings, thereby ensuring that the “look-back” review is both substantive and effective.
More than 130 participants, including senior executives and middle-level managers from the Group (Bureau) headquarters, as well as relevant leaders and staff from its directly affiliated units, attended the meeting via video conference.
