In October, Beijing enjoys crisp, clear autumn weather. The 55 participants of the General Administration’s Advanced Training Program on Enhancing Seven Key Competencies swiftly transitioned into their roles, immersed themselves in learning, engaged in thoughtful reflection and genuine understanding, and applied what they learned to real-world contexts, collectively completing a demanding yet rewarding first week of study.
Through courses such as “Why the Communist Party of China Has Been Able to Achieve Miracles: A Century of Party History,” “The Evolution and Development of the International Political Landscape,” and “Building Integrity and Preventing Corruption,” the participants gained a deeper appreciation for the arduous challenges faced by the Party in its early days, the complex and ever‑changing global environment, and the resolute, no‑holds‑barred efforts to combat corruption. These experiences elevated their political awareness, strengthened their moral character, and drew inspiration from the Chinese nation’s spirit of striving forward. In the “Corporate Strategy Simulation” course, they assumed various decision‑making roles, engaging in “decisive battles for market share,” and, through hands‑on practice, honed their strategic thinking and insight into operational processes, while coming to recognize the critical importance of cross‑departmental coordination and collaboration.
Participants gained insights into the broader business landscape from a financial perspective through vivid case studies in “Corporate Financial Management and Risk Prevention”; explored the transformative potential of big data and intelligent mineral exploration for geological work in “Research and Applications of Intelligent Mineral Exploration Based on Big Data”; and experienced the architectural aesthetics and timeless appeal of both ancient and modern works from around the world at Tsinghua University’s Art Museum.
During the project seminars, participants broaden their horizons through each experience‑sharing session and spirited debates, while embodying Tsinghua University’s athletic spirit in every morning exercise and physical‑education class. In each research project and book‑discussion, they savor the joy of teamwork and the pursuit of truth.
Following the first week of study, participants unanimously expressed their commitment to cherish this valuable opportunity for learning and exchange, diligently enhance their knowledge and capabilities, strive for self-improvement, and apply what they have learned, reflected upon, and experienced to their work. They pledged to translate their learning outcomes into tangible results that strengthen their professional performance, thereby making new and greater contributions to the development of all undertakings within the Group (Bureau).
