Beating the drum to spur progress, forging ahead with determination—going all out to sprint toward the 2021 annual business targets: The Group (Bureau) convened its monthly operational sprint coordination meeting.

On December 9, the Group (Bureau) held its regular monthly online operational coordination meeting. Shang Honglin, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board, and Director of the Bureau, attended the meeting and delivered an important address. Tian Li, Member of the Party Committee, Deputy General Manager, and Deputy Director of the Bureau, chaired the meeting.

This month’s coordination meeting was convened to rally momentum, overcome obstacles, and secure victory in achieving the 2021 business performance targets, while ensuring a strong finish to the year. Each directly affiliated unit reported on its progress regarding the “two profits and four ratios” operational and financial performance indicators, the implementation of major projects, existing issues and corresponding solutions, a review of last month’s challenges, the restructuring of loss-making enterprises, efforts to reduce “two types of receivables,” and the special initiative addressing Evergrande commercial drafts.

Tian Li provided individual assessments of the 24 performance‑evaluated units and reported on the Group (Bureau)’s overall economic performance for November.

In his concluding remarks, Shang Honglin pointed out that, in the face of reform and transformation in the geological exploration sector, all directly affiliated units have maintained strategic resolve and delivered a satisfactory interim performance amid tackling tough challenges. He emphasized that, during the final 20 days of 2021, these units must approach their work with unwavering determination—“the higher we look, the more steadfast our steps”—firmly uphold bottom-line thinking, proactively prevent and defuse operational risks, and consolidate the foundations for high-quality development. They should elevate their political awareness, strengthen their sense of responsibility, and ensure the three-year state‑owned enterprise reform progresses in depth and delivers tangible results. Furthermore, they must press ahead with bold initiatives, meticulously wrap up year‑end tasks, and make every effort to achieve the 2021 business targets. Finally, they should exercise sound strategic planning, target key priorities with precision, and carefully map out next year’s priorities, thereby marking the 70th anniversary of the bureau’s founding with outstanding achievements.

A total of 99 participants attended the meeting, including members of the Group (Bureau) leadership team, senior executives, heads of various functional departments at headquarters, and principal leaders of all performance‑assessment units.
