Wang Yong attended the theoretical study session of the Group (Bureau) Communist Youth League Committee and delivered a lecture on the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee.

On the afternoon of December 12, the Youth League Committee of the Group (Bureau) convened an expanded central group meeting to study the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee. Wang Yong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Group (Bureau), delivered a briefing on the session’s key principles to youth league officials and representatives, providing guidance on how grassroots youth league organizations should study, publicize, and implement the spirit of the plenary session. The meeting was chaired by Zhu Zhehui, Secretary of the Group (Bureau) Youth League Committee.

Wang Yong interpreted the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee from six perspectives: a profound understanding of the significant implications of summarizing the Party’s major achievements and historical experience over the past century; the Party’s major achievements over the past century; the decisive significance of the “two establishments”; the historical significance of the Party’s century-long struggle; the historical lessons drawn from that struggle; and the mission and responsibilities of the broad ranks of Communist Youth League members in the new era. He also outlined the Youth League’s key objectives and priorities for effectively implementing study and ensuring thorough execution of the session’s decisions.

Wang Yong emphasized that, in the new era, young geologists must draw from the Party’s century-long struggle the immense strength to unite and inspire youth; decipher the keys to success in its major achievements and invaluable experiences; deeply appreciate the decisive significance of the “two establishments”; fortify their ideals and convictions; cultivate a profound sense of devotion to both family and country; and dedicate their youthful endeavors to the cause of the Party and the people. On the new journey ahead, they should consciously shoulder the glorious responsibility of being the Party’s assistants and reserve force, and write a splendid chapter of youth on the “exam‑taking road” of the new era.

Following the presentation, a lively exchange and discussion ensued, with participants sharing their insights and ideas, forging a shared sense of purpose among young people, and energizing their spirit of struggle. All present deeply felt that the Third Historical Resolution adopted at the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee focuses on summarizing the Party’s major achievements and historical experiences over the past century, with particular emphasis on the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics. This landmark document, shining with the light of Marxist truth, is destined to be recorded in history; it serves as an authoritative textbook for helping young people strengthen their ideals and convictions and carry forward the red gene. It holds profound practical significance and far-reaching historical importance for enabling the younger generation to more consciously enhance their “four consciousnesses,” firmly uphold their “four confidences,” and resolutely safeguard the “two safeguards,” thus securing new and even greater victories on the new journey ahead in the new era.

It is the sincere conviction of all that consistently upholding and strengthening the leadership of the Party is the most fundamental and crucial lesson learned from the Communist Youth League’s century-long history of following the Party. Members and young people within the Group (Bureau) must always bear in mind that “wherever the Party flag points, there the League flag shall follow,” firmly uphold the “Two Safeguards,” demonstrate absolute loyalty to the Party, and steadfastly preserve the League’s political character in every word, deed, and circumstance. Today’s youth genuinely love the Party and deeply respect General Secretary Xi Jinping. The Group (Bureau) Youth League Committee should seize this favorable opportunity to deepen political guidance, strengthen theoretical education and awareness of the national situation and current trends, and guide young people to continuously enhance both rational and emotional identification with the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, actively becoming firm believers in and faithful practitioners of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. As an advanced mass organization of youth under the leadership of the Party, the Communist Youth League’s fundamental value lies in serving as the Party’s assistant and reserve force, cultivating builders and successors for the cause of the Party and the people. The Group (Bureau) Youth League Committee must always keep in mind its major responsibility to nurture talent for the Party, fully leverage the educational system that seamlessly connects the Party, the League, and the Young Pioneers, proactively capitalize on the current favorable conditions for guiding young people to remain committed to the Party, effectively strengthen their awareness and capability to prevent and defuse major risks in the youth sector, and continuously provide fresh vitality to the Party, thereby consolidating and expanding the Party’s mass base among young people.
