On December 29, our institute invited Professor Tang Mingliang, a legal expert, to deliver a legal lecture on “Understanding and Application of Contract‑Related Provisions in the Civil Code.”
Professor Tang Mingliang provided an interpretation of the Civil Code in two parts: its general overview and the Contract Section. He offered a detailed account of the codification and revision process, its profound significance, its structural framework, and its promulgation and entry-into-force dates. Drawing on real-world cases and our institute’s practical work, he systematically reviewed key topics—including the basic concepts of contracts, contract formation, contractual validity, performance, termination, and liability for breach of contract—providing a thorough explanation of the interpretation and application of contract‑related provisions.
Subsequently, Professor Tang engaged in an in-depth discussion with the attendees and addressed the legal questions raised by our hospital’s staff regarding contracts.
Through this lecture, the staff and cadres of our institute have gained a deeper understanding of the contract-related provisions in the Civil Code. Moving forward, our institute will continue to integrate legal education and publicity into its routine operations, ensuring that all staff and cadres firmly establish a strong awareness of law-based and compliant business practices, proactively manage legal risks, and effectively safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of our institute.
