On January 7, a review meeting for the manuscript of “A 70-Year History of Development of the China Chemical Geology And Mining Bureau” was held at the Group’s headquarters, chaired by Wang Yong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Group (Bureau). Invited to attend were Li Quan, former Party Secretary of the Bureau; Xu Kangping, former Deputy Director; Jiang Shuye, former Deputy Director; Wang Bingquan, former Deputy Chief Engineer; and Lian Weihua, former Chief Engineer of the Geological Survey General Institute. Also invited to participate in the review were Wang Jun, Chief Economist and Acting Chairman of the Trade Union; Huang Yongming, Regional Operations Director; Wang Junfeng, Director of the Human Resources Department; and Zhu Zibao, Party Secretary and Vice President of the Geological Research Institute.
At the meeting, Wang Yanqing, chief editor of the “History of Development,” provided a detailed overview of the compilation approach and progress. The expert reviewers fully commended the manuscript’s quality and its distinctive strengths, offering specific suggestions for revision, particularly regarding its structure and content. Following deliberation, the review panel reached the following conclusion: This book is the first to adopt an annalistic format, objectively, systematically, and comprehensively documenting the 70-year development of the China Chemical Geology And Mining Bureau from its establishment in 1952 to the present. The editorial team demonstrated a profound understanding of the work’s significance by viewing it from the perspective of the Bureau’s cultural evolution, and they fulfilled their phased tasks with a strong sense of mission and responsibility. The manuscript features a clear narrative thread and a well-structured framework; the materials collected are consistent with actual conditions, and the content is rich, accurate, detailed, and grounded in sound perspectives. The panel therefore approved its initial review and acceptance.
Wang Yong expressed his gratitude to the experts in attendance, particularly to the veteran leaders, for their support. He noted that the valuable feedback provided by the review panel offers an important foundation for further revising and refining the “70-Year History of Development,” which holds profound significance for the overall authorship of the manuscript. Wang Yong emphasized that the compilation of the “70-Year History of Development” is both time‑constrained and demanding, with many areas still requiring refinement and enhancement. He urged the editorial team to carefully incorporate the reviewers’ comments, undertake thorough revisions, and faithfully reconstruct the most authentic trajectory of the Mining Bureau’s development, ensuring that the work is completed to a high standard and with exceptional quality.
Chai Yutian, deputy editor-in-chief of the “History of Development,” and Zhang Xuanji, director of the Editorial Committee Office and deputy director (acting) of the Party and Mass Work Department of the General Administration, attended the meeting.
