　　On January 24, the Group (Bureau) convened a summary conference on Party history study and education, thoroughly studying and implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on this initiative, as well as the key directives from the CPC Central Committee and the China National Coal Administration’s summary meeting. The conference comprehensively reviewed and summarized the Administration’s efforts, achievements, and valuable experiences in carrying out Party history study and education, and made arrangements for further consolidating and expanding the outcomes of this endeavor.

　　Song Junmao, head of the Second Supervision Team for Party History Study and Education under the China National Coal Administration, attended the meeting to provide guidance and delivered an important address. Shang Honglin, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board, Director-General, and head of the Leading Group for Party History Study and Education of the Group (Administration), gave a concluding speech on the campaign. Liu Xingwang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, General Manager, and Deputy Director-General of the Group (Administration), presided over the meeting.

　　Song Junmao highly commended our group’s (bureau’s) work on Party history study and education, and put forward three expectations for further deepening the outcomes of this initiative: first, to persistently strengthen theoretical training, continuously enhancing the political awareness and theoretical competence of all Party members and cadres; second, to fully leverage the leading role of Party building, integrating Party development with the establishment of a modern corporate governance system, thereby fostering market entities with core competitiveness; and third, to uphold the people-centered development philosophy, institutionalizing and normalizing the practice of “doing concrete things for the people,” so as to steadily boost the sense of happiness, fulfillment, and security among employees and the general public.

　　Shang Honglin provided a comprehensive summary of the significant achievements and positive outcomes attained in the Party history study and education campaign across the entire organization, and, drawing on practical experience gained during this initiative, laid out plans to ensure the sustained, long-term success of Party history education—its thorough implementation, consolidation, and further expansion. Shang Honglin stated that, in 2021, under the strong guidance of the Second Supervision Group of the China National Coal Administration for Party History Study and Education, our group (administration) remained firmly focused on the objectives of “drawing wisdom from history, strengthening faith through history, cultivating virtue via history, and putting history into practice,” as well as on the overarching goals of “studying Party history, gaining ideological insight, delivering tangible results, and opening up new prospects.” In doing so, we further strengthened our political consciousness in resolutely upholding the “Two Safeguards”; deepened our historical awareness as we embarked on a new journey in the chemical‑geological sector; bolstered our confidence as the national team in this field; and enhanced the sense of gain, happiness, and security among all employees. We consistently translated the outcomes of Party history education into concrete results, effectively implementing the “11463” development strategy, fully achieving all operational targets set by the Administration, ensuring smooth progress in reform, steady growth in employee incomes, and continued improvement in the quality of development. As a result, we secured a strong start to the 14th Five-Year Plan period, providing robust impetus for the group’s (administration’s) healthy, sustainable, and high‑quality development.

　　Shang Honglin emphasized that the practical lessons learned from studying Party history have taught us the following: We must steadfastly study, thoroughly understand, and earnestly apply Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, ensuring that the Party’s innovative theories serve as a powerful ideological weapon guiding the high-quality development of the geological sector; we must diligently learn, systematically summarize, faithfully inherit, and vigorously carry forward the red gene of China’s geological community, unwaveringly heeding the Party’s call and following its lead; we must regard upholding our original aspiration and shouldering our mission as a lifelong task for all Party members, consciously putting into practice the principle of “serving the people in all our endeavors” and delivering concrete results and solving real problems for the people; and we must take General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions and directives on the coal‑geology sector as our fundamental guide, anchoring ourselves in the overall work of the Party and the state, and continuously opening up new prospects for the Mingda cause.

　　Shang Honglin emphasized the need to uphold political principles with unwavering clarity, earnestly enhance political judgment, political comprehension, and political execution, and more firmly and consciously support the “Two Establishments” while resolutely safeguarding the “Two Upholds.” He called for earnestly implementing the fundamental political task of studying and applying Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, establishing institutional mechanisms for Party history study and education that are regularized and sustainable, and more steadfastly and consciously using the Party’s innovative theories to fortify our minds, guide practice, and advance our work. He further stressed the importance of adhering to a people-centered development philosophy, precisely aligning efforts with the needs of development, the aspirations of the grassroots, and the will of the people, and more resolutely and consciously upholding the principle that “the cause of the people is for the people.” Finally, he urged the vigorous promotion of the spirit of revolutionary dedication and relentless striving, closely integrating the consolidation and expansion of the achievements of Party history study and education with key tasks such as ensuring the safety and stability of the geological sector and advancing its reform and development, thereby more firmly and consciously shouldering the historic mission of leading the way in building a strong country in the new era.

　　At the meeting, attendees watched a short documentary showcasing the Group’s (Bureau’s) work on Party history study and education, followed by presentations from Shandong Institute, Inner Mongolia Institute, and Mingda Marine Engineering Co., Ltd. on their experiences in this initiative.

　　Xue Bin, a member of the State Administration’s Second Supervision Team, along with Group (Administration) leaders Wang Yong, Chen Haiyong, Jiao Sen, and Diao Haizhong, attended the meeting. More than 120 participants—including senior executives, regional directors, heads of headquarters departments, members of the leadership teams of all directly affiliated units, and staff from the Party and Mass Work Department—joined the meeting at the main and sub-venues.
