Recently, Liu Xingwang, General Manager of the Group (Bureau), Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Deputy Director, led a delegation to Daye City, Hubei Province, to conduct a project site visit. He also held a symposium with Wang Xijun, Member of the Standing Committee of the Daye Municipal Party Committee and Executive Vice Mayor, as well as with the heads of various platform companies in Daye. The two sides exchanged views on cooperation in areas including the development of mineral resources, ecological restoration of mining sites, and integrated investment‑financing‑construction initiatives for specific urban districts.
Liu Xingwang and his delegation visited the construction site of the “Huangshi Airport Economic Zone Construction Package No. 2” project, gaining an in-depth understanding of the progress of project cooperation, the utilization of funds, and the current challenges and issues. At the symposium, the visiting delegation provided a detailed briefing on the status of relevant project collaborations and their intentions for further cooperation. Meanwhile, Wang Xijun, along with heads from the Bureau of Land and Resources, the Bureau of Housing and Urban–Rural Development, and various state‑owned asset management platforms, presented an overview of Daye’s mineral resources and the development and construction plans for its respective districts. Both sides then engaged in discussions on potential project partnerships.
Liu Xingwang expressed his approval of the project’s collaborative progress and emphasized that the partnership must be accelerated to ensure the project is completed to a high standard. By aligning with the Group (Bureau)’s development strategy of “Grand Geology, Grand Resources, and Grand Ecology” and leveraging Daye City’s unique mineral and natural resource endowments, he urged the parties to capitalize on their respective strengths, jointly formulate a strategic plan, and leverage the Group’s (Bureau’s) advantages as a centrally‑administered state‑owned enterprise, thereby contributing to Daye’s high‑quality development.
Wang Xijun pointed out that the discussions at this meeting were highly productive and emphasized the need to promptly advance both ongoing and prospective projects. Following the meeting, a dedicated task force will be established to facilitate coordination. The focus will be on the Daye Lake High-tech Zone and the Huan Diqiao Airport‑adjacent Development Area, with cooperation anchored in comprehensive land‑use planning across the five towns of Jinhu, Lingxiang, Chenguai, Bao’an, and Jinshandian. He also stated that they will join forces with Sinochem Mingda to jointly support Daye—known as the “Millennial Copper Capital”—in its bid to rank among the top 50 county‑level economies nationwide.
Wang Yongming, Director of the Group (Bureau) Market Development (Rural Revitalization) Division; Fang Shaoping, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the Hubei Institute; Wang Wuxian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Hunan Institute; Wang Xiaoteng, Vice President of the Shaanxi Institute; He Hui, General Manager of the Fund Company; and Guo Ruimin, Chairman of Huangshi Jianzhong Company (the project company), along with other relevant personnel, attended the meeting.
