On August 12, our institute convened the 2022 First-Half Economic Performance Review Meeting to comprehensively summarize the achievements and shortcomings of the first half of the year, deliberate and deploy key tasks for the second half, and mobilize all staff to rally enthusiasm, ensure effective implementation, and boost production. With “improving quality and enhancing efficiency” as the guiding principle, we aim to build momentum and unlock potential for high-quality development, thereby ensuring the successful completion of all annual goals and objectives.

At the meeting, Comrade Yang Cheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, conveyed the spirit of the Group (Bureau)’s press conference on the “70-Year History of Development” and the Youth Geoscience and Technology Academic Forum. Comrade Zhang Shuqi, a member of the Party Committee and Vice President, communicated the contents of the Group (Bureau)’s analysis report on economic performance for the first half of 2022, as well as the key points of the address delivered by Comrade Shang Honglin, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board, and Director-General. Chief Engineer and Executive Deputy General Manager (in charge of daily operations), Comrade Peng Mingzhang, reported on the status of contract signings, operating revenues, and reductions in “two types of funds” across all business entities of our institute during the first half of 2022.
Each operating entity, functional department, and logistics service center reported on the progress of their work in the first half of 2022, the challenges encountered, the measures taken to address them, and their plans for the second half of the year. The institute’s leadership provided targeted feedback on each department’s production, operations, and management performance during the first half, and offered guiding recommendations for advancing work in the second half.
Party Secretary and President Wang Qingfeng delivered a comprehensive analysis of the institute’s economic performance for the first half of 2022 and outlined key tasks for the second half: First, vigorously expand market opportunities, proactively pursue projects, drive development, and strengthen long-term growth momentum, enhancing our capacity to secure major and high‑quality projects to ensure the successful completion of all targets; second, optimize industrial planning by elevating geological exploration and mineral development, vigorously advancing geological environment and ecological conservation, and refining and strengthening geological engineering and technical services; third, fully implement the three‑year reform action plan, earnestly carry out special initiatives to improve quality and efficiency, and deepen reforms of the three institutional systems; fourth, conduct business in strict compliance with laws and regulations, firmly uphold safety and environmental protection red lines, and effectively manage risks; and fifth, reinforce Party building as a guiding force, promote the integrated development of operations, and mark the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China with outstanding achievements.
The meeting was chaired by Peng Mingzhang, and more than 40 attendees—including the institute’s leadership and the principal heads of all departments—participated.
