To further advance the deep integration of Party building with professional work and to elevate the overall standard of Party building within our institute, on August 12, our institute convened a symposium to analyze and discuss Party-building efforts in the first half of the year. Wang Qingfeng, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the institute, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. More than 20 participants—including institute leaders, members of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, the Trade Union, and the Youth League Committee, secretaries and standing committee members of all Party branches, heads of various functional departments, and staff from the Party affairs office—were present.
The meeting conveyed and studied relevant provisions of the Group (Bureau)’s “Key Task Breakdown Plan for the ‘Party Building–Led Year of Enhancing Performance’,” and conducted a special study on the Regulations on Letters and Visits. It called on all Party members and cadres, as well as Party organizations at all levels, to consciously elevate their political awareness, ensure that the Party’s overall leadership is firmly integrated into every aspect and stage of their work, guide employees and the general public to express their demands in accordance with the law and in a rational manner, and proactively safeguard a harmonious and stable development environment, thereby fostering a favorable atmosphere in anticipation of the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
The meeting heard reports on the first-half work of the Institute’s Commission for Discipline Inspection, the Trade Union, the Communist Youth League Committee, and each Party branch, followed by comments and guidance on these efforts. Drawing on their specific circumstances, the Party branches focused on reporting on such areas as Party member education and management, branch‑level brand‑building, the role of grassroots Party organizations and Party members, and the enhancement of performance through Party building. They shared exemplary practices, identified shortcomings, and outlined the direction for the second half of the year, thereby fully showcasing the achievements of standardized Party‑branch development.
The meeting fully commended the achievements of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, the mass organizations, and all Party branches in the first half of the year, and set forth clear requirements for further elevating the level of disciplinary inspection and Party building within our institute and for making every effort to deliver on all tasks in the second half: First, we must remain resolute in our confidence, firmly uphold the principle that strengthening Party building is both our core responsibility and our greatest political achievement, and ensure the effective implementation of principal responsibility; second, we should continue to deepen the standardization of Party branches and advance the initiative of “one branch, one distinctive feature; one branch, one brand,” cultivating unique strengths and highlights in each branch; third, we must persistently strengthen comprehensive and rigorous Party governance, focusing on enhancing routine and long-term oversight; and fourth, we must firmly embrace the vision of the entire institute as a unified whole, further consolidating the concerted efforts of mass organizations to provide robust momentum for the institute’s high-quality development.
