On August 26, Jiao Sen, a member of the Party Committee and Chief Engineer of the Group (Bureau), led a delegation to Qufu Normal University for a symposium. During the meeting, he engaged in discussions with Hu Qinxiao, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Qufu Normal University, along with other leaders, focusing on ecological restoration and related areas of work.

Hu Qinxiao extended a warm welcome to Jiao Sen and his delegation, briefly outlining the university’s general profile. Yang Yuewei, Director of the Science and Technology Office, provided an overview of the institution’s research activities, while Wang Renjun, Dean of the College of Life Sciences, presented an overview of the college’s ecological restoration program and related ecological projects.

Jiao Sen provided a brief overview of the Group (Bureau)’s 70-year history, including its reform and transformation, industrial layout, and qualifications and performance. He highlighted the Group’s achievements in implementing an industrial structure characterized by “one foundation, three pillars, and two integrations,” as well as in building its science and technology innovation teams. Gu Qiang, Party Secretary and President of the Institute of Geological Research, gave a detailed presentation on the institute’s general profile, its work in mine reclamation and ecological restoration projects, and related research initiatives.

Participants from both sides exchanged views and held discussions on cooperation in areas such as mine reclamation and ecological restoration. They expressed the hope that this symposium would serve as an opportunity to strengthen exchanges in technology and human resources, foster project‑based collaboration, and leverage complementary strengths, with a view to jointly submitting applications for ecological and environmental‑related projects—particularly those involving mine reclamation—in Shandong Province, thereby providing robust resource and environmental support for the region’s development.

Wang Deli, Deputy Director of the Geological Science and Technology Department of the Group (Bureau); Zhu Zibao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Institute of Geology; Liu Junsheng, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of the Institute of Geology; along with relevant leaders, professors, and other personnel from Qufu Normal University, attended the symposium and exchange.
