To further enhance the quality of geological work and support high-quality development during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the Group (Bureau)’s Second Inspection Team recently visited our institute to conduct a quality review and provide guidance. All three randomly selected projects, as well as the overall quality of our institute’s geological work, received excellent ratings.
The inspection team carefully listened to a report delivered by Peng Mingzhang, the Chief Engineer and Executive Deputy General Manager (in charge of daily operations) of our institute, on the status of geological work quality management, scientific and technological innovation, the implementation of geological projects, and quality inspections. The team conducted on-site reviews of our institute’s quality management, project management, and scientific and technological innovation practices, as well as the laboratory data for three randomly selected projects. Additionally, they rigorously assessed the quality of our institute’s pre‑selected “Outstanding Projects” and provided constructive recommendations.
The inspection team fully commended our institute’s efforts in geological work management, the operation of its quality management system, the development of science-and‑technology innovation teams, the implementation of innovation‑driving policies, academic training and talent cultivation, as well as geological data statistics and geological information management. They also engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges on our institute’s transformation and upgrading, ecological and environmental restoration, and project management for mine remediation.
Our institute will take this inspection as an opportunity to urge the project teams to carry out thorough rectification in accordance with the experts’ recommendations, rigorously implement the three-tier quality‑inspection system, and further strengthen oversight and regulatory efforts for geological projects, thereby effectively elevating the standard of geological quality management. At the same time, we will intensify our efforts in scientific and technological innovation, using production to drive innovation and innovation to boost production, fostering deep integration between technological advancement and operational activities. In doing so, we will fully leverage the guiding and catalytic role of science and technology in promoting high‑quality development, thus supporting the institute’s high‑quality growth during the 14th Five‑Year Plan period.

A total of eight participants, including members of our institute’s Geological Science and Technology Department and the project team, took part in the meeting.
