Recently, at the “2022 Geological Technology Training and the 5th Geological Skills Competition” hosted by the China National Bureau of Coal Geology, Comrade Zhang Hailiang from our institute was awarded the second prize in the geophysical exploration category.
This training and competition are centered on geophysical exploration technologies, covering such areas as seismic exploration for oil and gas, seismic exploration for coal, seismic lithology interpretation, geophysical techniques for preventing and controlling water hazards in coal mines, passive-source seismic exploration, well logging, and more. A total of 14 teams—comprising over 80 elite participants from the Administration’s directly affiliated units—have been assembled, with the aim of “promoting learning, training, practice, and capacity‑building through competition,” thereby motivating technical personnel to excel in their respective roles, deepen their expertise, and effectively advance the continuous updating of professional skills and knowledge.
Comrade Zhang Hailiang has long been dedicated to fieldwork, possessing extensive theoretical knowledge and technical expertise. With his outstanding professional competence and meticulous, rigorous work ethic, he has successively received honors including “Outstanding Geophysical Talent in Shandong Province’s Geological Exploration Industry,” “Outstanding Geophysical Talent of the China Coal Geological Bureau,” “Outstanding Geophysical Talent in the National Geological Exploration Industry,” as well as titles such as “Young Skilled Worker” from the China Chemical Geology And Mining Bureau and the China Coal Geological Bureau, the first “Mingda Craftsman” of the Group (Bureau), and the Group (Bureau) “Model Worker for 2020–2021.” In this competition, Comrade Zhang Hailiang prepared meticulously, carefully analyzed relevant standards and the spirit of related documents, thoroughly organized the training content, and faced the challenge with composure, successfully completing the event and securing a second-place individual award in the gravity, magnetic, and electrical exploration category on behalf of our institute.
Through this competition, our institute’s participating colleagues have broadened their knowledge horizons, identified areas for improvement, further mastered specialized technical skills, enhanced their professional capabilities, and strengthened their sense of responsibility in their respective roles.
