Each Party branch organized a fourth-quarter general meeting for Party members and held the December themed Party Day activities.

Recently, the Party branches of our institute have successively convened their fourth-quarter member meetings and carried out December-themed Party‑day activities. In light of the pandemic and members’ health conditions, and in accordance with the directives issued by the local higher‑level Party organizations, with approval from the Institute’s Party Committee, each branch has organized these events either via DingTalk online or through a hybrid “in‑person plus online” format.

On December 23, the First Party Branch convened its fourth-quarter party members’ meeting, during which it conducted a special study of the newly revised Constitution of the Communist Party of China adopted at the 20th National Congress. The session focused on interpreting the 30 key amendments to the Party Constitution. Members were urged to consciously study, abide by, implement, and safeguard the Party Constitution, taking it as the foundation for their conduct, speech, and actions, and, from their respective posts, to act as resolute enforcers and loyal defenders of the Constitution through concrete deeds. At the meeting, Comrade Yang Xiaomin, the branch secretary, delivered a thematic Party lecture titled “Deeply Study and Implement the Spirit of the 20th National Congress, Rally the Strength to Forge Ahead, and Strive in Unity for the High-Quality Development of Our Institute.” She elaborated on three key aspects: “deeply studying and thoroughly understanding the spirit of the 20th National Congress, comprehensively and accurately grasping its core essence, spiritual substance, and practical requirements”; “profoundly appreciating the ideological精髓 of the Party’s innovative theories, thereby inspiring and uniting all cadres and employees to muster powerful momentum for embarking on a new journey”; and “upholding the integration of learning, thinking, and application, and the unity of knowledge, belief, and action, so as to translate the arrangements and requirements of the 20th National Congress into every stage and aspect of our work.” Through clear and accessible explanations, she outlined how to better study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress, ensuring that learning is coupled with reflection, practice, and application, and that responsibilities are earnestly shouldered. She also set forth specific requirements for the Party Branch, its subordinate departments, party groups, and all branch members regarding the study and implementation of the Congress’s spirit. During the meeting, the First Party Branch also celebrated the “political birthdays” of all party members collectively, offered congratulatory messages on this occasion, and organized a book-giving activity to mark the event.
On December 20, the Second Party Branch convened its fourth-quarter general meeting of party members. Branch Secretary Comrade Wang Juan delivered a briefing on the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, urging all party members to take this opportunity to deepen their political study and elevate their political awareness. The meeting reviewed and discussed the applications of Comrades Wang Lichao and Cui Yuanyuan to convert from probationary to full membership; following a secret ballot, both were unanimously approved to become full members of the CPC upon completion of their probationary period. During the meeting, a themed Party Day activity was also held under the theme “Recall Our Original Aspirations, Forge Ahead with Determination, and Shoulder Our Mission,” and Branch Committee Member Comrade Zhang Chao conveyed and studied relevant materials, including “Firmly Grasping the Party’s Leadership over Ideological Work.”
On December 23, the Third Party Branch convened its fourth-quarter members’ meeting. Comrade Sun Xinyong, a member of the branch, a member of the hospital’s Party Committee, and the vice president, led the participants in reviewing the key points of the report delivered at the 20th National Congress, delivered a special lecture on the spirit of the Congress, and urged everyone to take proper personal protective measures amid the ongoing pandemic. Comrade Yin Xiuzhen, the branch secretary, presented a special lecture on “Key Amendments to the Party Constitution at the 20th National Congress.” The meeting also adopted, by secret ballot, resolutions to approve the formal admission of two probationary members, Comrades Cheng Hongzhu and Ding Yongzheng, and held a themed Party Day activity centered on collectively celebrating their political birthdays.

On December 7 and December 23, the Fourth Party Branch convened two separate general meetings of party members. At each meeting, Comrade Zhang Shuqi, a member of the branch, a member of the College Party Committee, and the vice dean, and Comrade Wu Shumeng, the branch secretary, delivered special lectures on the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. They thoroughly expounded on the importance of studying and implementing the spirit of the Congress, addressing such questions as why we should study it, how we should study it, and what we should study. They urged all branch members to consistently apply the spirit of the 20th National Congress in their work and daily lives, deeply understanding and internalizing its principles in light of their own professional contexts, and using this understanding to guide and advance their practical tasks. At the branch’s general meeting held on December 23, the branch reviewed the performance of Du Xiaoliang and Su Chongfa during their probationary period. Following a secret ballot, both comrades were unanimously approved to be admitted as full members of the CPC. Comrade Zhang Shuqi extended his congratulations to the two comrades and set forth specific expectations and requirements. In addition, the Fourth Party Branch organized a “political birthday” event for some party members, during which the participating members took turns sharing their reflections on their political birthdays and recounting their personal journeys since joining the Party.
On December 28, the Party branch of Hongfa Company convened its fourth-quarter members’ meeting and held a themed Party Day activity for December in the third-floor conference room. In implementing the “First Agenda” system, Branch Secretary Peng Mingzhang led the study of Comrade Hao Peng’s remarks delivered at the video conference on conveying, studying, and implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China within state-owned enterprises and central SOEs, guiding all participants through the full text. He urged branch members to take Comrade Hao Peng’s speech as an opportunity to prioritize the study, publicity, and implementation of the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress as their top political task for the period ahead, integrating this effort with the company’s core business operations. By applying the spirit of the 20th National Congress, they aim to inject fresh momentum into the enterprise’s development and elevate its high-quality growth to a new level. Following this, Comrade Peng Mingzhang delivered a special Party lecture titled “Practicing the Four Confidences.” Drawing on extensive historical materials, detailed and comprehensive data, and his own many years of overseas work experience and insights, he presented a compelling session covering four key aspects: the background, rationale, and value of the Four Confidences; their profound implications; a summary of the internal relationships among them; and how to firmly uphold the Four Confidences in the new era. At the conclusion of the meeting, a themed Party Day activity was held on “Essential Knowledge and Skills for the Three-Year Action Plan on State-Owned Enterprise Reform.” Participants systematically reviewed General Secretary Xi Jinping’s series of important speeches, instructions, and directives on the three-year reform initiative, as well as relevant key documents issued at the central level and the series of documents and measures released by the China National Coal Administration. Key concepts were revisited and further discussed. The meeting also reviewed and summarized the measures adopted and the achievements attained by our institute in implementing the three-year reform plan. Comrade Peng Mingzhang emphasized that reform is an ongoing process; in the new era and under new circumstances, Hongfa Company must continue to pursue bold reforms and strive to strengthen, improve, and expand the enterprise.
Over the past year, all Party branches within our institute have rigorously implemented intra‑Party political life practices such as the “Three Meetings and One Lesson” system and themed Party days, strengthened Party‑spirit education for members, reinforced their commitment to lifelong learning, and rekindled their political enthusiasm, thereby significantly bolstering the organizational strength and cohesion of grassroots Party organizations.
