The Eighth Inspection Team of the China National Coal Administration conducted a supervisory inspection at our institute.

Recently, Zhao Pu, head of the Eighth Inspection Team for the 2023 year-end and New Year safety inspection of the China National Coal Geological Bureau and chief expert of the Bureau, along with Li Zibo, deputy director of the Safety and Environmental Protection Department of the Second Exploration Bureau, paid a visit to our institute to conduct a safety supervision and inspection.

The supervisory team heard a report from Vice President and Safety Director Zhang Shuqi on the hospital’s general overview, the status of safety and environmental protection efforts, and plans for the next phase of workplace safety. The team conducted a thorough review and rigorous oversight of the hospital’s organizational structure and personnel appointments, as well as the implementation of initiatives such as “Safe First Quarter,” safety education and training, pre‑construction safety inspections, risk‑based tiered control, emergency response drills, hazard identification and remediation, and the distribution of personal protective equipment, along with relevant records and documentation.

The supervisory team fully commended our institute’s safety and environmental protection efforts and set forth specific requirements for future work in these areas. First, in accordance with the annual work plan, promptly issue the annual key priorities for safety and environmental protection and the training schedule. Second, further strengthen safety management, fortify the safety‑production defense line, and conduct safety inspections of key locations, critical areas, and pivotal processes to ensure that all potential safety hazards are thoroughly identified and addressed.
Liu Jianwen, Director of the Geological Science and Technology Department (Safety and Environmental Protection Department), Deputy Director Li Zheng, and relevant staff attended the meeting.
