On March 11–12, led by Jia Ruifeng, Chairman of the Institute’s Trade Union, and with Liu Jianwen, Director of the Geological Science and Technology Department (Safety and Environmental Protection Department), serving as technical advisor, a team of four technical personnel from our institute traveled to Zigui, Hubei Province, to participate in the Bureau (Group)’s 2023 Geological Technology Training and the inaugural “Mingda Cup” Labor Skills Competition.
This training and competition brought together 15 teams, comprising a total of 50 elite participants from the bureau (group) and its directly affiliated units, to compete on a common stage. The event was centered on geological surveying and included pre‑competition technical training, theoretical examinations, and hands‑on field‑skills exercises. Its overarching goals were to “promote learning, training, practice, and institutional development through competition,” thereby motivating technical personnel to excel in their roles, hone their skills, strive for excellence, and effectively enhance the professional competencies of all cadres and employees.

In accordance with the requirements of the competition organizing committee, our institute meticulously prepared for the event, actively organized pre-competition training, and thoroughly analyzed the relevant standards and the spirit of related documents. On the field, team members collaborated seamlessly and responded calmly to the challenges. After two days of intense and fierce competition, Our institute’s team was awarded the “First Prize in the Team Category,” Meng Linghua received the “First Prize in the Individual Category,” and Men Yuefeng was honored with the “Third Prize in the Individual Category.” , representing our institute, achieved outstanding results!

Through the training and competition, our institute’s participants have broadened their knowledge horizons, further honed their professional skills, enhanced their operational capabilities, and strengthened their sense of responsibility in their roles.
