Our hospital conducted a comprehensive pre-Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day safety inspection.
As the Mid-Autumn and National Day holidays approach, in order to thoroughly implement the China National Bureau of Coal Geology’s 100-day campaign on workplace safety and ensure the safety of all operations across the institute, Party Secretary and President Wang Qingfeng, Deputy Party Secretary and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection Yang Cheng, Party Committee Member and Safety Director Zhang Shuqi, and Party Committee Member and Vice President Sun Xinyong each led teams to conduct a comprehensive safety inspection of field construction sites, all office premises, the two‑area base, and the laboratories. They also extended慰问 to on-site staff, thereby ensuring safe production throughout the Mid-Autumn and National Day holiday period.
On September 15, Party Secretary and President Wang Qingfeng led a team to conduct comprehensive safety and quality inspections at two major projects: the integrated conservation and restoration project for mountains, waters, farmland, lakes, grasslands, and sand on the west side of Tongchang Road in Pingyi County, and the comprehensive geological environment restoration project for damaged mountain slopes surrounding the Changxin Bridge Reservoir in Cangshan Subdistrict, Lanling County. He also extended words of encouragement to the construction workers on site.
On September 19, Sun Xinyong, a member of the Party Committee and Vice President, led a team to conduct comprehensive safety and quality inspections at three projects: the Characteristic Geological Town Survey and Evaluation Project in Meigui Town, Pingyin County, Jinan; the Carbon Sequestration Survey and Evaluation Project in a Typical Karst Area of Jinan; and the Abandoned Mine Remediation and Collapse‑Induced Geological Hazard Mitigation Project on the Northwest Hillside of Wanghaodian Village, Meigui Town, Pingyin County. He also extended words of encouragement to the construction workers on site.
From September 25 to 26, Yang Cheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, led a team to conduct inspections at the Jinan District Logistics Base, the laboratories, and the Tai’an District Logistics Base. The inspections focused on fire safety and electrical equipment safety in all office areas, logistics bases, and laboratories, and also included a special review of the management and control of toxic and hazardous reagents as well as laboratory environmental conditions.
On September 27, Party Secretary and President Wang Qingfeng led a team to conduct safety inspections of all offices in the Jinan office area and of externally leased units. The inspection focused on fire safety, electrical equipment safety, and gas usage, and staff were reminded to thoroughly identify and eliminate all potential hazards before the holiday, to disconnect power and securely close doors and windows upon departure, and to exercise caution regarding traffic safety during the holiday period to ensure personal safety.
Inspections revealed that fire‑safety equipment in all office areas is regularly inspected and maintained, fire‑escape routes remain unobstructed, and overall safety conditions are sound. In the laboratories, control over toxic and hazardous chemicals is effectively implemented, and the improvements to the lab environment have yielded noticeable results. This comprehensive inspection has further heightened safety awareness among staff across all offices, support facilities, and laboratories, strengthened their commitment to safe production, and fostered a robust culture of workplace safety. The entire institute will pool its resources and efforts to ensure production safety during the Mid‑Autumn Festival and National Day holidays.
Other institute leaders, Liu Jianwen, Director of the Department of Geological Science and Technology (Safety and Environmental Protection), Deputy Director Li Zheng, along with heads of relevant project departments, accompanied the inspection.
