On the Double Ninth Festival, the sweet fragrance of osmanthus fills the air. To vigorously promote the traditional virtues of respecting, cherishing, and caring for the elderly, our institute recently distributed festival gifts to all senior colleagues who have reached the age of 60. Taking into account the dispersed living arrangements of our senior staff, we adopted a variety of measures to ensure they could receive their gifts promptly. First, we set up two zones with three distribution sites, allowing seniors to choose the location that best suits their needs. Second, for those residing outside the local area, we arranged for warm‑hearted gifts to be delivered directly to their homes via express courier. Third, we conducted on‑site centralized distributions at the Taian base and the Jinan Honglou dormitory area—locations where many seniors tend to gather—and provided door‑to‑door visits to deliver gifts and heartfelt care to those with limited mobility.

On October 23, the day of the Double Ninth Festival, Yang Cheng, Deputy Secretary of the Institute’s Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, along with Gao Dong, Director of the Logistics Service Center, and other members of the delegation, represented the Institute’s Party and administrative leadership in traveling to the Tai’an base. There, they presented festive gifts on-site to senior colleagues who had reached the age of 60, and paid home visits to several elderly comrades who were either bedridden due to illness or had limited mobility. Through warm conversations, they carefully inquired about the recipients’ health and living conditions, conveying the Institute’s Party Committee’s heartfelt care and best wishes. They also expressed sincere gratitude for the longstanding contributions these seniors have made to the development of the Shandong Institute, encouraging them to continue showing concern for and supporting the Institute’s reform and development, to offer constructive advice and suggestions, and to share their experience and expertise, thereby contributing to the Institute’s high-quality development in the new era.
A heartwarming gift and a sincere blessing have deeply warmed the hearts of our veteran colleagues. “Thank you to the institute’s leadership for your care and concern—every holiday, you think of us. We’re truly grateful!” Retired cadres and employees alike expressed that they have felt the warm, familial care of the Shandong Institute, which has genuinely enhanced their sense of happiness and fulfillment.

For many years, the Party and administrative leadership of the institute have consistently shown deep concern for the veteran colleagues who have made significant contributions to the institute’s reform and development. On the occasion of the Double Ninth Festival, they present them with appropriate tokens of appreciation to express their respect and care, sparing no effort to ensure that, following the transition to socialized management, the veterans’ original benefits remain unchanged, new benefit policies are fully implemented, and their ties with the institution remain strong—so that they can continually feel the warmth and support of the institute’s extended family.
