The Party Committee of the Institute convened a thematic study seminar for the second session of its “Thematic Education” reading class.

On November 3, the Party Committee of the institute convened a thematic study seminar for the second session of its “Thematic Education” reading class. Participants engaged in focused study of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s address at the seminar on the spirit of the 20th National Congress, as well as selected chapters from the “Selected Excerpts from Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.” The session was led by Comrade Qiu Guanghui, a member of the Party Committee and vice president, and was attended by nearly 20 individuals, including members of the institute’s leadership team, members of the Thematic Education Leading Group and its office, and secretaries of all party branches.

Following the conclusion of the study session, participants took turns to speak, drawing on their respective areas of responsibility, departmental realities, and the current market environment. They engaged in a focused discussion on how to effectively implement the requirements of the thematic education campaign, guided by the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, with the aim of securing a decisive victory in the fourth quarter and sprinting toward the year’s goals and tasks.

Heads of various functional departments exchanged views on how to strengthen management, deliver meticulous services, and comprehensively ensure robust support in areas such as workplace safety, quality management, and technical‑qualification assurance—thereby helping business units expand into new markets, enhance operations, and translate the outcomes of thematic education into tangible results that enable them to overcome challenges, achieve annual targets, and pursue high‑quality development. Meanwhile, leaders of relevant business units put forward concrete strategies and measures for boosting team-wide motivation, deepening market penetration, accelerating year‑end project settlements and receivables collection, reducing working capital and inventory, and ensuring smooth project pipeline management and seamless project handovers for 2024, while also reinforcing risk‑mitigation efforts.

Party Secretary and President Wang Qingfeng delivered an on-site micro‑party lesson, emphasizing that the current thematic education campaign is timely, with learning as its foundation and action as its key. He stressed the need to translate the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China into concrete efforts across all aspects of Shandong Institute’s work, actively participating in the new round of strategic initiatives for breakthroughs in mineral exploration, fulfilling one’s duties conscientiously, and contributing to the Institute’s high‑quality development. It is essential to continue building a cohesive, enterprising team committed to getting things done, upholding the overall situation of unity, harmony, and stability at Shandong Institute with a strong sense of responsibility—“the prosperity of the Institute is my own prosperity.” In line with the year‑long business targets, we must fight hard in the fourth quarter: closely monitor objectives, assign clear responsibilities, adopt a reverse‑schedule approach to project timelines, refine implementation measures, and race against time. With united resolve, we will press ahead vigorously over the next 50‑plus days, striving to complete year‑end project settlements, ensure timely collections, and build up next year’s project pipeline, thereby guaranteeing the successful fulfillment of all annual goals and tasks. Taking this thematic education as an opportunity, we should sustain the “Doing Practical Things for the People” initiative, integrate it with investigative research, thoroughly understand and address, with care and dedication, the pressing concerns, difficulties, and aspirations of our staff and the public, continuously enhancing people’s well‑being and boosting their sense of gain and happiness.
