Long Yuanqing visited our institute’s Juzhen Iron Ore Project to extend condolences to frontline workers and conduct inspections and provide guidance.

On May 6, Long Yuanqing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Bureau (Group), visited the drilling site and the project office of the 2023 ministerial- and provincial-level geological exploration project undertaken by our institute—the iron‑ore survey and evaluation project in Juzhen Town, Yucheng City, Shandong Province—where he extended his greetings to frontline workers and conducted an inspection and provided guidance.

Long Yuanching visited the project site, carefully inspected and gained first-hand insight into the project’s progress, safety measures, and green, civilized construction practices. He also conducted a thorough review of on-site facilities related to electricity, water supply, and fire protection. At the construction site, he examined the core samples in detail and inquired about the local geological conditions, ore-forming factors, and the iron‑ore exploration results achieved in the area. Mr. Long expressed his approval of the project’s construction and safety‑production efforts. He emphasized that with summer approaching, it is imperative to implement robust “three‑prevention” measures for the rainy season, maintain rigorous safety risk management throughout the entire construction process, further enhance workers’ safety awareness, strengthen on-site safety supervision, and ensure safety at every stage of the project.

Subsequently, Long Yuanqing and his delegation visited the project office to inspect its facilities and assess the working and living conditions of frontline personnel, gaining a more in-depth understanding of the site’s geological conditions and the geological findings achieved. After reviewing the project office’s safety‑education records and other safety‑production management documents, as well as the Party members’ study logs, Long Yuanqing offered comments and recommendations on key aspects such as safety education, safety management, and Party building within the project team. He urged that safety training for project staff be further strengthened and that the temporary Party branch be bolstered in its learning and organizational development, so as to effectively leverage its role in ideological education and in guiding and supporting production activities.

Wang Qingfeng, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of our institute; Qiu Guanghui, Vice President; Xiong Yuqiang, Director of the Mineral Exploration Branch (Business Unit); and Li Zheng, Deputy Director of the Geological Science and Technology Department (Safety and Environmental Protection Department), accompanied the inspection.
