On the afternoon of August 8, our institute convened a symposium to analyze and discuss Party building and ideological work for the first half of the year. The meeting was chaired by Pan Weicai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, and was attended by more than 20 participants, including institute leaders, secretaries and members of the committees of all Party branches, as well as staff from the Party affairs department.
At the meeting, Party Secretary and President Wang Qingfeng, together with all attendees, studied the interpretive article “Deeply Studying and Implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping’s Series of New Ideas, New Perspectives, and New Conclusions on Comprehensively Deepening Reform” from the book “One Hundred Questions on the Study and Guidance of the Decision of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee.” Party Committee Member and Vice President Sun Xinyong then led the study of selected chapters on online ideological work from the “Outline of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s Important Thoughts on Building a Cyberpower.” Following this, the meeting heard reports from each Party branch on their Party-building work in the first half of the year. Through a “one report, one evaluation” format, the branches received feedback and guidance on their work, and arrangements were made for Party-building and ideological‑work initiatives in the second half of the year.
The meeting fully commended the achievements made by all Party branches in Party building during the first half of the year and expressed gratitude to all Party affairs workers for their hard work. It was noted that, since the beginning of the year, the secretaries of each Party branch have conscientiously fulfilled their responsibilities as “primary persons in charge,” leading their branch committees to unite and rally the broader membership, continuously strengthening theoretical education and ideological‑political guidance. Closely aligned with the requirements of higher‑level Party committees and the hospital’s Party committee, they have steadily advanced routine Party‑building tasks and key initiatives such as disciplinary‑law study and education, rigorously upheld intra‑Party political life, and actively organized participation in activities like the “Month of Discipline and Rules Education.” Moreover, in light of the specific circumstances of their respective departments, they have worked to bring into full play the role of Party organizations as strong fortresses and the exemplary, pioneering role of Party members, with each branch demonstrating distinctive strengths and noteworthy accomplishments.
The meeting analyzed the major issues currently facing our institute’s Party-building work and set forth specific requirements for all Party branches to further enhance the quality and effectiveness of their Party-building efforts: First, it is imperative to earnestly fulfill the primary responsibility of the branch for Party building and the duties of the “first responsible person,” strictly adhere to Party‑building standards, and ensure the thorough and rigorous implementation of all specific Party‑building tasks. Second, we must continue to advance the standardization of Party branches and the initiative of “one branch, one distinctive feature; one branch, one brand,” thereby continuously strengthening the organizational strength and cohesion of Party branches. Third, we should further integrate Party‑building work with production and business operations to drive high‑quality development within the unit. Fourth, we must institutionalize Party‑discipline study and education, and deeply study, publicize, and implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee.
The meeting called on all Party branches to unite and lead their members and the broader workforce in actively supporting and wholeheartedly engaging in reform, offering constructive advice and proposals for the institute’s new round of development and transformation. It urged the creation of a strong atmosphere in which Party members take the lead and all staff strive with dedication, so that together we may write a new chapter of high-quality development for Shandong Institute in 2024.
