Recently, a province-wide training conference on the submission and management of geological data, organized by the Shandong Provincial Natural Resources Data Archive, was held in Zibo. More than 70 participants from geological data management agencies, geological exploration units, mining enterprises, and other organizations across the province attended. Our institute also took part in the conference and delivered a presentation as an exemplary representative in the fields of geological data management and information reporting.

The meeting conveyed the spirit of the National Symposium on Geological Data Management and reported on the province’s progress in submitting geological data and information. Staff from the Provincial Archives presented the procedures for the submission and management of geological data, including the checklist of required documents, organizational arrangements, and compilation requirements. Participating organizations then engaged in exchanges and discussions on common issues encountered during the geological data submission process.

During the exchange and presentation session, our institute, as a model of best practices, shared its experience and achievements over recent years in areas including the development of geological data management systems, institutional governance and team building, the establishment of data archives, the advancement of geological data digitization, the construction of sharing platforms, professional training, and project acquisition.

The successful convening of this training session has established an excellent platform for exchange and learning among geological data management and reporting entities across the province, fostering the sharing of experience and collaborative progress among all participating units. Taking this training as an opportunity, our institute will continue to uphold a strong sense of responsibility and mission, spare no effort in ensuring high-quality geological data management and information reporting, strengthen integrated research and the development and utilization of geological data, and strategically plan to forge a new paradigm in geological work. We will stand shoulder to shoulder with all relevant institutions, supporting Shandong Province’s new round of strategic initiatives for breakthroughs in mineral exploration, leading the way and opening up fresh prospects.
