Recently, Sun Xinyong, a member of the Party Committee and Vice President of the institute, along with Jia Ruifeng, Chairman of the Trade Union, and others, visited the Duoshan area in Mandong Town, Jiaxiang County, Jining City, to inspect and provide guidance on the ecological restoration demonstration project for historically abandoned mines in and around the Nan Sihu Nature Reserve in Jining City, Shandong Province (2023–2024) — specifically its supervision component. They also promoted the effective implementation of the “Going Down to the Grassroots” initiative and conducted trade union慰问 activities, extending sincere condolences and warm care to geological workers who remain steadfastly on the front lines.
Upon arriving at the site, the inspection team first heard a briefing from Project Manager Wang Kangdi on the project’s progress and achievements, gaining an understanding of the challenges currently facing the project. They then engaged in discussions with the project team, offering practical and feasible recommendations on supervision methods, the supervision plan, and the next steps. Additionally, they put forward specific requirements regarding technical quality and safety management, documentation organization, and the compliance and rationalization of the project office’s organizational structure. Jia Ruifeng conducted a detailed inquiry into the team’s current work and living conditions, extended warm words of encouragement to all members, and presented them with care packages.
Led by Project Manager Wang Kangdi, the team conducted an on-site inspection and offered several guiding recommendations. Sun Xinyong emphasized that all project team members must firmly uphold a safety-first mindset, rigorously implement the institute’s regulations on production safety, and ensure the project is completed safely and to a high standard.
Liu Jianwen, Director of the Institute’s Department of Geological Science and Technology (Safety and Environmental Protection), Wang Ying, Director of the Marketing Department (Planning and Development), and Zhou Kai, Chief Engineer and Vice President of the Resources and Environment (Geological Disaster) Branch Institute (Business Unit), accompanied the inspection and offered their condolences.
