On April 12, the Party Branch of Tai’an Engineering Investigation, in collaboration with the Party Branches of the Geotechnical Company, the Fourth Party Branch, and Hongfa Company, visited the Memorial Site of the Anti-Japanese Armed Uprising on Culaishan Mountain in Tai’an to jointly carry out a themed Party Day activity titled “Carrying Forward the Red Spirit and Striding Forward on a New Journey of High-Quality Development,” followed by a business exchange session held in the Party Member Activity Room of Tai’an Engineering Investigation.
In April, Mount Culaishan is awash with the vibrant spirit of spring and brimming with life. This is a land steeped in red history: on January 1, 1938, the anti-Japanese armed uprising at Mount Culaishan was an insurrection directly led and launched by the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China at a critical juncture of national peril. It marked the first time the banner of the Eighth Route Army was raised in Shandong, fired the opening shot of the Shandong Provincial Committee’s independent leadership of the province’s resistance against Japan, and kindled the flames of the Party‑led armed struggle of the people of Shandong.
Party members and active participants from each branch, filled with profound reverence, arrived at the Martyrs’ Cemetery of the Anti-Japanese Armed Uprising on Mount Culaishan. They lined up and slowly ascended the steps, laid wreaths in tribute to the martyrs, and stood solemnly to bow in respect. At the foot of the martyrs’ tombstones, they carefully examined and read the names and hometowns of the fallen heroes, expressing their enduring remembrance and boundless admiration for these revolutionary martyrs.
At the Memorial Hall of the Culaishan Anti-Japanese Armed Uprising, facing the bright red Party flag, Comrade Pan Weicai, Deputy Secretary of the Hospital Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, led the oath‑taking ceremony, during which all Party members collectively reaffirmed their入党誓词. Afterwards, attendees visited the historic site of the anti-Japanese armed uprising, listened to accounts of the various stages of the resistance, viewed films, archival materials, and historical artifacts related to the Culaishan Uprising, and reflected on the revolutionary history of the Party’s unwavering struggle alongside the people. Through this experience, they deepened their understanding of the original aspirations and mission of Communist Party members and underwent a profound ideological and spiritual cleansing.
Subsequently, all participants proceeded to the Party Member Activity Room of Taian Engineering Investigation for a symposium and exchange. Shandong Sinochem Geotechnical Engineering Co., Ltd. and Taian Sinochem Mingda Engineering Investigation Co., Ltd., headquartered in Jinan and Taian respectively, share broadly similar business scopes and related upstream and downstream projects, and have collaborated and engaged in mutual learning on numerous past investigation assignments. During the exchange, attendees freely shared their views, thoroughly discussing such topics as expanding market outreach, intensifying market development efforts, prospects for market growth, and corporate reform. Song Huijun, General Manager of Shandong Hongfa Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd., put forward suggestions for improving on-site construction management in interdepartmental collaborative projects, recommending that additional measures be introduced to ensure the effective implementation of relevant responsibilities. All participants agreed that, amid the current downturn in the construction investigation market, departments should strengthen communication and collaboration, foster unity and teamwork, and work together to contribute to the institute’s continued advancement on the new journey toward high-quality development.
