Recently, the trade union of our institute has organized its various branch unions to actively carry out study activities on the spirit of the 2024 National Two Sessions through a variety of channels and methods, including centralized study sessions and independent online learning. In addition, in-depth discussions have been held around topics such as accelerating the development of new‑type productive forces, with the aim of educating and guiding all cadres and employees to translate the spirit of the National Two Sessions into concrete actions—striving to achieve tangible results in the new round of mineral exploration breakthroughs and elevating high‑quality development to a new level in 2024.
On March 25, the Party Committee of the institute convened its second theoretical study session of 2024, focusing on studying and comprehending the spirit of the Two Sessions and related topics. The meeting also featured in-depth discussions on accelerating the development of new‑type productive forces, emphasizing the need to gain a profound understanding of their defining characteristics and key priorities. Participants were urged to align their efforts with national strategic objectives, demonstrate innovation and take decisive action in advancing new‑type productive forces, actively engage in the new round of the strategic initiative for breakthroughs in mineral exploration, continuously strengthen resource and energy security, support ecological civilization, intensify scientific and technological research, and comprehensively enhance geological work capabilities. All these measures are intended to make fresh contributions to safeguarding national energy and resource security and to promoting high‑quality economic and social development at the local level.
On March 22, the headquarters branch, in conjunction with the First Party Branch, convened a meeting to convey and study the spirit of the 2024 National Two Sessions. Participants engaged in an intensive study of Premier Li Qiang’s Government Work Report delivered at the Second Session of the 14th National People’s Congress, as well as General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important remarks during his participation in the deliberations of the Jiangsu delegation. The meeting also included a collective viewing of a video report from the “Ministerial Channel” of the National Two Sessions, featuring State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council Director Zhang Yuzhuo addressing pressing public concerns such as “high-quality development” and “accelerating the formation of new‑type productive forces.”
On March 26, the Mineral Resources Survey Branch held a collective study session on the spirit of the Two Sessions, conveying and studying General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important remarks during his participation in the Jiangsu delegation’s deliberations, as well as Premier Li Qiang’s Government Work Report delivered to the Congress on behalf of the State Council. The group also watched a video of Comrade Zhang Yuzhuo, Director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, speaking on CCTV’s “Ministerial Report” program. Participants engaged in active exchanges and discussions around the hot topics of the Two Sessions and issues of broad public concern. All expressed their determination to translate the spirit of the Two Sessions into motivation for study and work, to stay committed to their respective duties, to pioneer and innovate, and to carry out their tasks with diligence, thereby further showcasing the fine ethos of geological workers in the new era—“three honors and four excellences”—and contributing even greater efforts to the nation’s new round of strategic actions for breakthroughs in mineral exploration.
On March 28, the Logistics and Experimental Branch organized its members to watch and study the learning materials related to the Two Sessions.
The Geotechnical Survey Branch, the Geophysical Exploration and Mining Branch, the Geological Branch, the Engineering Investigation and Logistics Branch, and others also organized online study sessions and self‑directed learning for their members, urging them to familiarize themselves with the key agenda items of this year’s Two Sessions, clarify the priorities and direction of their work moving forward, and calling on everyone to unite and strive together to contribute to the development of the Shandong Institute.
