Our institute achieved outstanding results at the provincial vocational skills competition on green ecological restoration (water quality safety inspection and testing).

Recently, Shandong Province The 2023 Key Competition—Provincial Vocational Skills Contest on Green Ecological Restoration (Water Quality Safety Inspection and Testing)—concluded successfully on the shores of Xueye Lake in Jinan. Our institute, led by Chief Engineer Li Yinzhen, fielded two teams totaling seven members—one specializing in water quality safety inspection and testing, and the other in green ecological restoration—to participate in the event.

This competition brought together 43 teams and more than 110 participants from the provincial geological and mineral resources system, relevant universities, and other institutions, who competed on a common platform. The event focused on two key areas—water quality safety testing and green ecological restoration—and was structured into three components: a theoretical examination, field‑based practical exercises, and comprehensive laboratory research. Its aim is to mobilize and inspire workers to prioritize green, low‑carbon, high‑quality development, strengthen ecological protection in the Yellow River Basin, and make greater contributions to advancing the Shandong model of Chinese‑style modernization.

In accordance with the requirements of the competition organizing committee, our institute meticulously prepared for the event, thoroughly analyzed and summarized the relevant standards and the spirit of pertinent documents, and demonstrated seamless teamwork and composure on the field. After two days of intense and fiercely contested rounds, Kong Dejin from our institute was awarded… “Third Prize for Individuals”; two teams from the organization each received the “Outstanding Organization Award,” and four participating team members were awarded the “Outstanding Player Award.”

In this competition, our institute’s participants demonstrated a solid theoretical foundation and proficient practical skills, further enhancing their professional capabilities, strengthening their sense of responsibility in their roles, and fully showcasing the competence and professionalism of practitioners in green ecological restoration of mines and water-quality safety inspection and testing in the new era. Taking this competition as an opportunity, our institute will cherish this honor, press ahead with renewed vigor, remain humble and prudent, and continue to uphold the spirit of model workers, the spirit of labor, and the spirit of craftsmanship. We will further inspire and reinforce our confidence and resolve to achieve success through skill and to serve the country with expertise, continuously elevating the quality of our geological work and making new and greater contributions to building a Beautiful China and to Shandong’s pioneering role in green, low‑carbon, high‑quality development.
