Recently, the Fourth Party Branch organized a series of activities, including thematic education study sessions and party lectures. During their inspection visit to the Hubei construction site, Party Secretary and President Wang Qingfeng, along with Safety Director Zhang Shuqi, joined the aforementioned activities together with members of the Fourth Party Branch.
At the meeting, Li Gang, the branch’s organizational committee member, led a study session on the chapter “Promoting Comprehensive and Strict Party Governance with a Spirit of Self-Revolution” from the Selected Excerpts of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. Through this study, Party members deeply understood that, under new historical conditions, it is imperative to advance the great new project of Party building with even greater resolve and to unswervingly promote comprehensive and strict Party governance.
At the Hubei project site, Party Secretary and President Wang Qingfeng conducted a field study on how to deepen the integration of Party building with production and operations, and on leveraging high‑quality Party work to ensure the successful implementation of business objectives. He carefully listened to the views and suggestions of frontline Party members and staff regarding the department’s and the institute’s reform and development, gaining a thorough understanding of the challenges and difficulties hindering progress. He encouraged everyone, amid the current challenging landscape facing the geological exploration sector, to earnestly put into practice the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s reply to all the geologists of the Sixth Geological Brigade of the Shandong Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources, to proactively acquire technical and theoretical knowledge, to address clients’ critical needs, to demonstrate their personal value in their work, and to strive to become responsible geologists of the new era.
Zhang Shuqi, the hospital’s Director of Safety, delivered a short thematic Party lesson titled “Bear in Mind Safety Principles to Drive Business Development,” emphasizing that all staff members should: first, firmly establish a safety mindset, rigorously enforce accountability, and resolutely prevent safety incidents; second, prioritize key tasks, fortify the safety defense line, and comprehensively elevate the overall level of safety management; third, strengthen grassroots foundations, enhance innovation-driven approaches, and build a platform for safety‑related scientific and technological innovation; and fourth, proactively fulfill their responsibilities in safety education and training, thereby raising employees’ awareness of workplace safety.
Following the conclusion of the Party lecture, Wu Shumeng, Secretary of the Fourth Party Branch, conveyed the spirit of relevant documents, including the Bureau (Group) Party Committee’s “Implementation Plan on Giving Full Play to the Role of Grassroots Party Organizations as Strong Fortresses and That of Party Members as Pioneers and Models,” as well as the Institute Party Committee’s “Work Plan for Thematic Education–Based Investigation and Research in 2023.”
At the conclusion of the event, Party members shared their insights and reflections, unanimously agreeing that, on the basis of strengthening their study of political theory, they should identify practical entry points for applying theoretical principles to real‑world work, truly integrating Party building with production practices, and proactively contributing in their respective roles. At the same time, they pledged to remain vigilant at all times regarding workplace safety, working together to safeguard a harmonious and stable environment for safe production within our institute.
