On November 20, the Second Party Branch convened a general meeting of its members to carry out the branch’s leadership transition, and also organized thematic education study sessions, a Party lecture delivered by the hospital leadership, and a themed Party Day activity titled “Making Contributions in Our Respective Posts.”
In accordance with the relevant provisions of the Constitution of the Communist Party of China, the Regulations on Electoral Work of Primary-Level Party Organizations, and other pertinent regulations, the branch conducted its leadership transition election. The meeting commenced to the solemn strains of the National Anthem. Comrade Wang Juan, on behalf of the previous branch committee, delivered a work report, comprehensively summarizing the branch’s achievements over the past three years in political development, ideological building, organizational strengthening, and other areas. Subsequently, in compliance with established procedures, the attending party members elected, by secret ballot and with a surplus of candidates, a new branch committee consisting of three members: Chen Chuanhao, Ji Shucheng, and Zhao Zhanzhan. Following the vote, Ji Shucheng was appointed Secretary of the Second Party Branch; Comrade Chen Chuanhao was elected Organization Committee Member; and Comrade Zhao Zhanzhan was appointed Publicity Committee Member and also served as Discipline Inspection Committee Member.
In accordance with the work plan for the thematic education campaign, Comrade Xie Fei, as the lead instructor, guided all Party members in studying excerpts from “Selected Works of Xi Jinping,” including passages such as “Realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation is the greatest dream of the Chinese people since modern times” and “Striving to open up even broader prospects for the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics.” In line with the requirements for delivering high-quality thematic Party lectures, Vice President Comrade Qiu Guanghui delivered a special Party lecture titled “Deepening Thematic Education and Forging Ahead to Expand Markets.” The lecture focused on four key aspects: the historical context, objectives and significance, content and requirements of the thematic education, and the imperative of vigorously expanding markets. It called on all Party members and cadres to deepen their engagement with the campaign, take the lead in market‑expansion efforts, and urged院 leadership and department heads to set an exemplary standard, mobilize the enthusiasm of all staff, and pool collective strength to drive the institute’s development. By fostering unity, striving forward, and shouldering responsibility, they were encouraged to promote high‑quality growth at the Shandong Institute. Meanwhile, Trade Union Chairman Comrade Jia Ruifeng, addressing the trade union’s research activities related to the thematic education, outlined the specific scope of the survey and appealed to all participants to pool their wisdom and offer constructive suggestions, working together to ensure the harmonious and stable development of the Shandong Institute.
During the Party‑day activity themed “Make Contributions from Our Posts and Lead the Way in Enhancing Quality and Efficiency,” all party members watched and studied the special program “Role Models 3,” which highlighted the exemplary deeds of the First Geodetic Brigade. Established in 1954, the brigade primarily engages in geodetic surveying and has been commended by the State Council, earning the title “A Heroic Surveying Brigade of Outstanding Merit and Selfless Dedication.” For more than six decades, generation after generation of surveyors have tirelessly ventured into the field to explore China’s landscapes, braving hardship and sacrifice, silently measuring the country’s magnificent mountains and rivers with their sweat—and even their lives—thereby making outstanding contributions to national economic development and to safeguarding the nation’s interests. The participating party members were deeply moved and inspired by the brigade’s heroic achievements and pledged to emulate its spirit of arduous struggle and selfless dedication, striving to make their due contributions in their respective posts.
Finally, the conference concluded successfully to the solemn strains of “The Internationale.”
