Ma Gang and his delegation visited our institute to conduct a research visit and provide guidance.
Recently, Ma Gang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the China National Bureau of Coal Geology, led a delegation to our institute to conduct a fact-finding visit and provide guidance, and held a symposium with mid-level and senior-level cadres.

Wang Qingfeng, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the institute, delivered a detailed report on the institute’s historical development, organizational structure, financial status, industrial sectors, as well as its recent operations, production activities, and Party-building efforts.
Ma Gang expressed full appreciation for the achievements our institute has attained across all areas of work. He noted that, in recent years, Shandong Institute has consistently focused on its core responsibilities and primary business, leveraged its traditional strengths in geological exploration, actively integrated into local development, and vigorously pursued a “going global” strategy. As a result, it has undertaken extensive efforts in market expansion, regional cooperation, and overseas projects, making significant contributions to the Administration’s presence in the international market. At the same time, he offered constructive suggestions and recommendations regarding certain shortcomings—such as the need to enhance practical effectiveness and accelerate deepening reform, to refine industrial optimization and market deployment, and to drive scientific and technological innovation with a focus on value creation.

With regard to the hospital’s next steps, Ma Gang put forward five requirements:
First, We must spare no effort to achieve the year’s goals and tasks, leverage our strong professional strengths, highlight our industry-specific advantages, seize market opportunities, and consistently and effectively advance efforts to reduce leverage and debt as well as to cut working capital and receivables.
Second, We must firmly wield the sword of reform, benchmark against world-class enterprises, optimize our organizational structure, advance institutional reforms, and unleash momentum for development, unswervingly making the comprehensive deepening of reform the central pillar of all our work and the fundamental driving force behind high-quality development.
Third is It is essential to conduct a scientific assessment of the province’s conditions, remain firmly rooted in Shandong, and vigorously implement the regional coordinated development strategy. With a forward-looking perspective, we must strategically plan, optimize industrial layouts, promote transformation and upgrading, and actively foster “specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative” enterprises.
Fourth is We must strengthen Party building and foster a clean, upright environment conducive to work and entrepreneurship. Guided by political development, we will fully leverage the role of Party organizations as strong fortresses and the exemplary, pioneering role of Party members, promote the deep integration of Party building with business operations, and use high‑quality Party building to drive high‑quality development.
Fifth is It is necessary to optimize resource allocation and revitalize existing assets. We will proactively expand our core businesses and strengthen our core talent pool. Adhering to the principles of lean management and high efficiency, we will streamline our business processes to achieve a leaner, more robust organizational structure.
During their stay in Shandong, Ma Gang and his delegation attended the strategic cooperation signing ceremony between the China National Bureau of Coal Geology and Shandong Energy Group Co., Ltd., and paid a visit to the Shandong Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources, where they revisited and studied the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important reply addressed to all geological workers of the Sixth Geological Brigade of the Shandong Provincial Bureau.
Xu Xiaolian, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the China National Coal Administration; Liu Xingwang, Secretary of the Bureau (Group) Party Committee, Deputy Director, and Chairman; leading officials from the Coal Aviation Group, the First Bureau of China National Coal Administration, the Hydrogeology Bureau Group, and other relevant units; as well as personnel from the pertinent departments of the China National Coal Administration, jointly conducted a field inspection and participated in related activities.
