Tan Kelong and his delegation visited our institute to conduct a thematic education research mission and announced personnel appointments.

Recently, Tan Kelong, Director of the Bureau (Group), Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and General Manager, led a delegation to our institute to conduct research on thematic education and announced personnel appointments.

At the symposium on thematic education research, Wang Qingfeng, Party Secretary and President of our institute, delivered a detailed report on Shandong Institute’s development, covering Party building, corporate management, talent cultivation, industrial development, production and operations, scientific and technological innovation, asset revitalization, and existing challenges. Tan Kelong expressed full recognition of all aspects of our institute’s work, noting that Shandong Institute has effectively implemented the Bureau (Group)’s “One Foundation, Three Pillars” development strategy, remained committed to its core responsibilities and primary business, vigorously expanded into the ecological environment and overseas markets, and forged a distinctive path of development. In doing so, it has made significant contributions to the advancement of the Bureau (Group)’s undertakings and to the economic development of Shandong Province.

Tan Kelong put forward five requirements for the next phase of our hospital’s work: First, strengthen modern enterprise management and promote high-quality enterprise development. By leveraging opportunities to engage with and collaborate alongside leading domestic and international enterprises, we will strengthen exchanges in corporate management and benchmark against industry best practices. We will promptly and thoroughly advance a new round of enterprise reform, establish a modern corporate governance system, accelerate the enhancement of development quality, and take the lead within the General Administration’s system in achieving high-quality growth. Second, we will seize opportunities and accelerate the development of the Shandong Institute’s brand. Fully leverage our strengths in mineral exploration and geological prospecting, intensify our participation in the new round of strategic initiatives for breakthroughs in mineral discovery, and strengthen our engagement in projects across provinces such as Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia. We will deepen cooperation with governments and enterprises, vigorously expand into international markets, and contribute to the nation’s efforts to harness both domestic and global markets and resources. Third, we will strengthen talent development and build a robust pool of skilled professionals. Building on the existing talent pool, we will strengthen the development of four key teams—business professionals, technical experts, managerial leaders, and international specialists—while fostering a culture that values talent, knowledge, and value creation, thereby providing robust human‑resource support for the Shandong Institute’s continued growth. Fourth, strengthen scientific and technological innovation to transform into a technology-driven enterprise. Strengthen the integration of technological innovation with production, enhance the refinement, summarization, and upgrading of scientific and technological achievements, intensify efforts to publicize, promote, and commercialize these results, and bolster the development of provincial-level platforms and research teams. Drive Shandong Institute to shift toward a model that relies on technology to expand into and capture market share. Fifth, strengthen Party building and foster a robust corporate culture. We will strengthen the exploration and systematic summarization of Shandong Institute’s Party‑building culture, its culture of refined management, its safety‑production culture, its compliance‑management culture, and its culture of integrity, thereby continuously enhancing the sense of happiness and fulfillment among all employees and steadily bolstering the enterprise’s cohesion and centripetal force.

During the field visit, Tan Kelong and his delegation inspected our institute’s Jiefangqiao office complex and the Jinan base, engaged in cordial conversations with staff, and expressed their appreciation and condolences for everyone’s hard work. They also conducted on-site inspections and provided guidance at our laboratories and at the construction site of the iron‑ore reconnaissance project in Dameng Village, Xueguantun Township, Qihe County, Shandong Province, emphasizing the need to strengthen innovative research, elevate the quality of outcomes, ensure robust safety management, fully implement all occupational safety measures, and enhance standardized site‑management practices.

Diao Haizhong, a member of the Party Committee of the Bureau (Group), Wang Junfeng, Director of the Human Resources Department (Party Organization Department), the principal leaders of the Shandong Institute, selected mid-level managers, and relevant personnel from the Headquarters’ Market Development (Rural Revitalization) Division and the Human Resources Department (Party Organization Department) accompanied the research visit.
