[Summer Cooling Assistance] Hospital leaders visited project sites to extend condolences and support to employees.
At present, as the height of summer’s scorching heat sets in, the cadres and employees of the Geotechnical Company are braving sweltering temperatures and battling the intense heat on the front lines in the field, embodying the spirit of dedication and professional commitment that defines geologists through their sweat and selfless service.

On August 4, Vice President Peng Mingzhang, Trade Union Chairman Jia Ruifeng, and other members of the delegation visited the survey and construction site of the Sino-Japanese New Materials Industrial Park, undertaken by Shandong Sinochem Geotechnical Engineering Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the institute. They also organized a “Cooling‑in‑the‑Heat” outreach activity, extending heartfelt condolences and warm care to the geotechnical engineers who are steadfastly holding their posts under the scorching heat.

Peng Mingzhang, Jia Ruifeng, and their delegation engaged in warm conversations with veteran drilling workers and young technical personnel on the front lines, presenting them with heat‑stroke prevention and cooling supplies and expressing gratitude for their hard work in advancing the development of Sinochem Shandong Institute. Zhang Lijun, head of the Geotechnical Engineering Company, briefed the group on the department’s recent production and operational performance, as well as the living and working conditions of its staff. The institute’s leadership urged department and project managers to firmly uphold safety awareness, emphasizing the critical importance of summer heat‑prevention and cooling measures, and directed them to diligently implement all relevant safeguards, placing the safety and health of employees above all else and resolutely preventing any workplace accidents.
The frontline workers gratefully accepted the relief supplies, deeply appreciating the care and concern of the institute’s leadership. They all expressed their gratitude for the organization’s support and pledged to carry forward the spirit of hard work and perseverance characteristic of geological professionals. They will conscientiously implement measures to prevent heat‑related illnesses and ensure adequate cooling, while carefully scheduling tasks to maintain both quality and safety. By fulfilling their duties with dedication, they will contribute their youth and effort to the high‑quality development of our institute.
