To implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping regarding the particularly serious gas explosion at the Fuyang Barbecue Restaurant in Xingqing District, Yinchuan City, Ningxia, and to comprehensively identify risks and eliminate gas safety hazards, in accordance with the requirements of the Bureau (Group)’s “Notice on Launching a Special Rectification Campaign for Gas Safety,” on June 30, a team led by Wang Qingfeng, Party Secretary and President of the Institute, accompanied by Yang Cheng, Deputy Party Secretary and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, as well as Liu Jianwen, Director of the Safety and Environmental Protection Department, and Li Zheng, Deputy Director, conducted an inspection of the gas pipelines, valves, gas meters, and other facilities and equipment used by tenants in the Institute’s Jinan office area. The inspection also covered whether gas alarm devices had been installed and whether these devices were undergoing regular checks. For identified hazards, the team issued time-bound rectification orders and delivered “Notices on the Safe Use of Liquefied Petroleum Gas” to the tenants, urging them to organize thorough study sessions and carry out self-inspections on the safe use of liquefied petroleum gas, thereby ensuring safe gas usage and secure operations.
The Safety and Environmental Protection Department, in collaboration with the Logistics Service Center, has delivered “Notices on the Safe Use of Liquefied Petroleum Gas” to tenants at both the Jinan District Base and the Tai’an District Base. Additionally, they have intensified public education and awareness campaigns on gas safety for residents at both sites, aiming to enhance tenants’ understanding of gas‑related safety issues and their sense of self‑protection, thereby fostering a culture of vigilance regarding gas safety. Moving forward, our institute will continue to leverage various communication channels to sustain gas‑safety outreach, expand the reach of basic safety knowledge, strengthen training on gas‑safety practices, and further improve users’ safety awareness and emergency response capabilities.
