Xiong Yuqiang, Outstanding Communist Party Member of the Group (Bureau), Director of the Mineral Exploration Branch (Business Division)
As a professional in the geological sector, having studied the spirit of the conference, I feel deeply encouraged and inspired, which has greatly strengthened my confidence in the cause of geological exploration. Together with my fellow geologists, I will press forward with determination, overcoming difficulties and forging ahead with courage, striving to discover large, high‑quality mineral deposits for the nation and making new contributions to economic and social development. At present, the profound changes unseen in a century are accelerating, and regional conflicts are giving rise to challenges to energy and resource security. For a major energy‑ and resource‑consuming country like ours, it is imperative to recognize, from a strategic perspective and over the long term, the vital importance of geological exploration in safeguarding national security and promoting development, as well as its fundamental role and pioneering position. By strengthening geological exploration, we can better protect people’s livelihoods, ensure the stability of industrial and supply chains, preserve the ecological environment, and advance high‑quality development—enabling us to maintain steady progress and achieve lasting success amid a complex international landscape.
I will thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s series of important instructions, demonstrate responsibility and take concrete action in the upcoming new round of the strategic initiative to achieve breakthroughs in mineral exploration, and fully leverage my professional expertise to discover more large‑scale, high‑quality deposits, thereby effectively strengthening China’s capacity to secure strategic mineral resources. In my work, I will always bear in mind the concept of green development, innovate approaches, engage in continuous practice, and draw on accumulated experience, integrating green exploration into every stage of mineral resource planning, exploration, development, utilization, and conservation, so as to achieve a win‑win outcome that balances geological prospecting with ecological and environmental protection. I will keep General Secretary Xi Jinping’s earnest exhortations firmly in mind, take geologists like Li Siguang and Huang Danian as role models, carry forward our fine traditions, remain committed to serving the country, face difficulties without fear, and strive to scale new heights, contributing to the realization of the Second Centenary Goal and the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation.

As a Mingda Craftsman of the Group (Bureau) and a grassroots geologist, I am keenly aware that my mission is both an honor and a profound responsibility. I will always bear in mind the General Secretary’s earnest instructions, courageously shoulder my duties, overcome difficulties, and vigorously carry forward the fine traditions of patriotic dedication, pioneering innovation, and arduous struggle. I will remain true to my original aspiration, uphold the spirit of craftsmanship, and fully harness the exemplary power of Mingda. I will take the lead in promoting the geological ethos of “Three Glories and Four Special Qualities,” relentlessly pursue excellence in professional skills, sustain my passion for innovation, and maintain unwavering focus and commitment. Together with my team, I will continue to be rooted in the frontline of geological work, honing our capabilities, broadening our horizons, building our competence, and gaining practical insights through fieldwork. In doing so, we will shoulder the noble responsibility of strengthening our nation’s capacity to ensure resource production and protect the ecological environment, providing robust resource and energy security as well as ecological and environmental safeguards for national economic development. We will thus fulfill our mission and responsibilities of serving the country through geology, surmounting obstacles and scaling new heights in mineral and water exploration, and contributing, through concrete actions, to safeguarding China’s energy and resource security.
Wang Juan, Deputy Director and Chief Engineer of the Mineral Exploration Branch (Business Unit), Outstanding Party Affairs Worker of the Group (Bureau), and “March 8th Red Banner Holder”
The Congress reviewed the remarkable achievements of the Party and the country over the past five years since the 19th National Congress. These five years have been exceptionally extraordinary and unprecedented. As a member of the post‑80s generation, I have been fortunate to witness firsthand the great prosperity of our motherland and feel immense pride; as a grassroots geologist, I have had the privilege of contributing to the construction of monumental projects, which fills me with profound honor.
With dreams as our steed, we shall not let this youthful prime go to waste. As a member of the Communist Party and a grassroots geologist, I will, in my future work, take the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC as my guiding principle, translating its essence into every aspect of my duties. Remaining true to our original aspiration and keeping our mission firmly in mind, I will press forward with renewed vigor. Grounded in my post and looking ahead, I will strive to:
I. Firmly uphold the communist conviction and support the leadership of the Communist Party of China. In both thought and action, maintain a high degree of consistency with the CPC Central Committee at all times; keep the overall situation in mind; cultivate lofty ideals; and, through concrete actions, resolutely endorse the “Two Establishments” and steadfastly safeguard the “Two Upholds.”
II. Grounded in our core responsibilities, we must bravely shoulder heavy tasks. Rolling up our sleeves and working with determination, we will fully uphold the geological spirit of “Three Glories and Four Special Qualities,” guided by new thinking and new concepts. Upholding a spirit of hard work and pioneering innovation, we will actively implement the concept of green development, intensify mineral exploration efforts, and orient our work toward safeguarding national energy and resource security and meeting market demand. With renewed enthusiasm and vigor, we will advance our work to new heights, contributing our share to the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China was solemnly convened in Beijing on the morning of October 16, 2022. As I watched the live broadcast, I was filled with excitement, feeling both proud and grateful to be living in this new era.
As a geoscientist, I will thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the important speeches of General Secretary Xi Jinping, transforming his earnest instructions into an inexhaustible source of motivation for striving forward. I will vigorously carry forward the fine traditions of “patriotism and dedication, pioneering innovation, and arduous struggle,” and uphold and promote the “Three Glories” and “Four Specials” spirits. Keeping the nation’s paramount interests at heart at all times, I will continue to follow in the footsteps of earlier generations of geologists—braving mountains and rivers, enduring hardship under the open sky, and overcoming formidable challenges—fully implementing Xi Jinping’s Thought on Ecological Civilization, actively embracing the concept of green development, leveraging our technical strengths to support the “dual carbon” strategy, and advancing science‑and‑technology‑driven, digitally‑enhanced efficiency. We will conduct in-depth research on major geological issues, actively participate in ecological and environmental restoration, promote green, low‑carbon, and circular development, accelerate green exploration and development, and foster a virtuous synergy between ecological protection and mineral resource exploration. In doing so, we will serve the strategy of ecological protection and high‑quality development in the Yellow River Basin, fulfill our mission and responsibilities as a Communist Party member and a geoscientist, and make new and even greater contributions to the comprehensive building of a modern socialist country!
