There is a kind of pride called the Five-Star Red Flag; there is a way of declaring love called posing with the national flag; and there is a deep affection that says, “I love you, my motherland.”
During the National Day celebrations marking the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, and as the entire nation joyfully welcomes the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Second Party Branch of our institute organized a themed Party Day activity titled “I Love My Motherland—Posing with the National Flag,” expressing heartfelt devotion to the motherland and extending best wishes for its continued prosperity and flourishing.
During the event, Party members took to the streets, schools, public squares, and seized every other opportunity to actively seek out the national flag, pay solemn respects by standing at attention, pose for photos alongside the flag, and, in the simplest and most direct ways, pay tribute to their motherland, expressing their deep love and boundless reverence.
Through this event, Party members of the branch have been greatly inspired to cherish and uphold their love for the motherland, while strengthening their sense of responsibility and mission to strive to be vanguard flag‑bearers. As geologists of the new era, we must unite in spirit beneath the national flag, join forces to build the Chinese Dream, and, through concrete actions, contribute our due share to the prosperity and flourishing of our country—thus presenting a worthy gift to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China!
