In accordance with the requirements of the General Administration and our institute for the “Safety Production Month” campaign, and to implement the arrangements for the “Emergency Response Plan Drill Week,” this initiative aimed to further strengthen all employees’ fire safety awareness and enhance their firefighting and emergency response capabilities. On June 17, our institute organized a fire safety training and drill event themed “Full Participation in Fire Prevention and Control.”
The event featured a lecture by Wang Xuefeng, a senior instructor with Jinan Ju’an Fire Protection, who provided a clear and engaging presentation. Drawing on analyses of typical large-scale fire incidents, he covered key topics including the implementation of fire safety responsibilities, identification and elimination of fire hazards, proper use of common firefighting equipment, emergency response procedures for fire accidents, and strategies for escape and self-rescue.
Following the lecture, the hospital’s leadership guided all staff through a drill in a fire‑escape simulation room. By recreating the high‑concentration smoke conditions of an actual fire scene, participants gained a firsthand understanding of the severity of such emergencies and, through hands‑on practice, mastered the proper techniques for protecting themselves from smoke, avoiding stampedes, and safely evacuating during a fire.
This fire‑safety training and drill combined theoretical instruction with hands‑on practice, enabling employees to deepen their understanding and mastery of fire‑safety knowledge, further strengthening their safety awareness, and enhancing their abilities in prevention, self‑rescue, and mutual assistance.
A total of more than 70 hospital staff members participated in the training exercise.
