Wang Yong and his delegation conducted a research visit to Shandong.

Recently, Wang Yong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Group (Bureau), led a delegation to Shandong to conduct a fact-finding mission. The group visited the Zaozhuang Municipal Government, held coordination meetings with the Municipal Bureau of Natural Resources and Planning, and inspected and provided guidance at our institute. Accompanying the delegation were Zhang Jinsong, Director of the Group (Bureau) General Office (including the Party Committee Office, the Board of Directors Office, and the Supervisory Board Office); Wang Junfeng, Director of the Human Resources Department (Party Committee Cadre Department); and Wang Qingfeng, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of our institute.

On September 14, Wang Yong held a working discussion with Bao Xian, Member of the Standing Committee of the Zaozhuang Municipal Party Committee and Head of the Organization Department and the United Front Work Department. During the meeting, he provided an overview of the bureau’s basic operations and the current status of its talent‑development pipeline, expressing the hope that the bureau would fulfill its political, economic, and social responsibilities as a central state‑owned enterprise, strengthen talent exchanges between central SOEs and local governments, and continuously deepen cooperation. In turn, Bao Xian warmly welcomed the delegation led by the group (bureau) leadership, highlighting Zaozhuang City’s general profile and development plans, and expressed his aspiration to enhance talent exchanges, business coordination, and strategic partnerships with the General Administration, thereby achieving mutual benefit and win‑win outcomes.

On September 15, Wang Yong and his delegation visited the Zaozhuang Municipal Bureau of Natural Resources and Planning and held a symposium with Ma Feng, Party Secretary and Director of the bureau. During the meeting, Ma Feng provided an overview of Zaozhuang’s efforts in geological and mining resource protection and oversight, the progress of ecological restoration at historically abandoned mines, existing challenges, and plans for next steps. Wang Yong outlined the group (bureau)’s historical development, organizational structure, and qualification‑building initiatives, while Wang Qingfeng presented an overview of our institute and its project portfolio in Zaozhuang. The two sides engaged in an in-depth discussion on Zaozhuang’s mineral resources and the ecological restoration of historically abandoned mines, agreeing to take this exchange as an opportunity to further strengthen collaboration. Leveraging the group (bureau)’s platform as a centrally‑administered state‑owned enterprise and the Shandong Institute’s technical expertise, they pledged to actively advance deeper cooperation across broader scopes and fields, thereby providing enhanced support for Zaozhuang’s economic development and ecological conservation.

On September 16, a delegation of leaders from the Group (Bureau) visited our institute to conduct an inspection and provide guidance. Wang Qingfeng reported on the institute’s recent work progress. Following the briefing, Wang Yong commended the institute for its recent achievements, noting that in recent years, Shandong Institute has focused on strengthening its leadership team, building a capable workforce, promoting development, managing risks, and reinforcing Party building, with all aspects of its work…

With regard to the hospital’s next steps, Wang Yong put forward eight recommendations: First, fully leverage our institutional qualifications and human resource strengths; emancipate our thinking in pursuing development; intensify efforts to expand into new markets; and pursue a path of high-quality growth. Second, strengthen leadership team building, enhance unity and collaboration, harness the collective strength of the leadership team, reinforce integrity and anti-corruption efforts, conscientiously fulfill the “dual responsibility” system, and bolster institutional frameworks while ensuring rigorous enforcement. Third, fortify grassroots Party organizations, giving full play to their role as strongholds and to the exemplary and pioneering contributions of Party members. Fourth, strictly enforce discipline and hold those accountable, step up disciplinary education and publicity, and solidify the defense line of integrity and lawfulness. Fifth, effectively enhance the practical application of inspection findings, strengthen follow-up on corrective measures, and ensure that all rectifications are implemented thoroughly and without compromise. Sixth, diligently carry out work related to handling public complaints and maintaining social stability, proactively identify, prevent, and resolve various risks and potential hazards, and foster a clean and upright working environment. Seventh, the Commission for Discipline Inspection should intensify oversight, make effective use of the “four forms” of supervision and discipline enforcement, strengthen routine oversight, address issues early and at an initial stage, and nip problems in the bud. Eighth, ensure robust safety in production and effective epidemic prevention and control.
At the meeting, Wang Junfeng put forward three recommendations for our institute’s human resources work: first, strengthen the development of systems for selecting and appointing personnel; second, continue to refine and improve the tenure system and contractual management of managerial personnel; and third, further enhance the management of total payroll.

Our institute stated that, taking this inspection and guidance as an opportunity, it will, under the leadership of the Group (Bureau), strive to leverage its own strengths, continuously strengthen organizational leadership, implement all measures, and improve relevant mechanisms. It aims to achieve greater breakthroughs in market development, technological innovation, talent cultivation, organizational management, and reform initiatives, thereby steadily enhancing the quality and efficiency of economic performance. By harnessing the power of reform, the institute will propel high-quality development and present outstanding achievements as a tribute to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
